“A little slice of Paradise...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

We stayed three nights at Garden Gables. Though its right off the main street in Lenox—thus so very easy to walk in for restaurants etc—it feels like its an oasis a million miles away with its green lawn, gardens, chairs under the trees, and long driveway taking you into a lush secluded spot. Heated pool at the end of a hot day was an extra bonus! Wonderful little touches- fresh-baked cookies out to greet you every day, lawn chairs to borrow for Tangelwood, umbrellas should you need them, and your room made up while you are eating breakfast, just to name a few. The owner goes round in the mornings greeting everyone and you feel very well cared for. The breakfasts are superb with fresh fruit, home-made granola, breads and jams, yogurt, and eggs, pancakes or waffles made to order. Wonderful, caring staff. The only thing that could make it more perfect would be a small fitness room with a few weights and a treadmill, but oh well, its so close to perfection. We will be back!

I've been coming here for more than 10 years. Each year has seen improvements - this time, under the direction of the new inkeeper, Denise, linens have been updated, bathrooms refreshed, mirrors changed, etc., etc. But most of all - at least for us - she has put together a young staff that could not be nicer or more helpful. Need a reservation? Directions somewhere? Anything you want - they will do it for you. As for the basics, the location is ideal; the breakfasts wonderful; and pool area secluded and charming; sherry and nuts in the public rooms at the end of the day a lovely touch. A perfect place for a Berkshire vacation,

Room Tip: the cottages are pricey, but the nicest.

This was our third stay. Incredible walking location, great staff and breakfast is the best I have ever had at a B&B.

Room Tip: We stayed in room16 outside the main bldg. Large and comfortable.

This was our second stay here at the Garden Gables. We enjoyed it very much and plan on coming back every year!
The Inn is right across the street from the restaurants and shops in Lenox. So all you need to do is park the car and relax.
*Also, don't forget your swimsuit, the pool is great!!!!!

We really enjoyed our two nights away. Our room was in a private cottage and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and very private. The staff was extremely friendly. The breakfasts are abundant and delicious. Favorite feature may have been the chocolate chip cookies!

A beautiful building and property, just a short walk from the shops and restaurants of Lenox. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was expensive and rather small, though charming and very clean. The sun porch for breakfast and the pool are gorgeous, though one shares them with a rather stuffy crowd. If you like elderly preppy white couples whose one topic of conversation is money and what it buys, then you'll love it.

Room Tip: Corner rooms with balconies look to be the best situation. The "cottages" are actually a...

My wife and I have been coming to Lenox for years. I can't imagine why we have never stayed here before. Not just the room which was delightful with thoughtful touches like quality chocolates and Pelligreno water and soft towels, not just the warm, friendly welcome by the host and his colleagues, but the home made cookies, the sherry on the table every evening, the beautiful breakfast rooms and wonderful breakfast, the impeccable grounds, and the beautiful pool all add up to a wonderful bed & breakfast. We walked to and from Tanglewood and it wasn't all that bad.

We will be back.
