“Tips for Brook Farm Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2011

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay but there are some things we learned that may be helpful to other travelers. First, our hosts Phil and Linda were wonderful, and would do anything for us. Secondly, the place was clean and charming. It's close to down town Lenox, and we found plenty to do in the area. What might be helpful is to know that the stairs to the third floor are exceptionally steep, which was no big deal for us but for older travelers might be tough so avoid the third floor. We stayed in the Cozy Hideaway room. It was cozy and the website pictures are accurate, but be aware that with two people in the bed, one person will have a challenge to get out of bed without climbing over the other person. Again, this was no problem for us but may be for others. The room was small, but adequate and the bathroom was roomy. The only other thing to note is that I had a different idea about what a buffet breakfast was. It was served buffet style, but there was only one hot item and I found it to be average. Overall though it was a great experience and I would come back and I would also recommend Brook Farm to friends.

My boyfriend and I visited Brook Farm Inn over Veteran's day weekend and enjoyed the inn very much. The room was beautifully decorated and spotless. Phil and Linda were wonderful hosts. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway and the Brook Farm Inn exceeded all of our expectations. The restaurant Alta that was part of our package was wonderful. We will definitly return.

We've stayed with Phil and Linda before and we'll stay again soon. Service is impeccable, breakfast and tea are delicious, and the rooms are exquisite. It's our little escape.

We were looking for a respite from our hectic lives, and found it in this quiet, secluded inn moments away from quaint and welcoming Lenox. We live just an hour and half away, but traveled out for a two night stay and a true, relaxing vacation. Phil and Linda are endearing hosts, welcoming and knowledgeable, who made our stay that much more enjoyable. The breakfasts are amazing, decadent yet with healthy options. We will surely be visiting again.

We spent 3 nights with Phil and Linda and loved the whole experience. The Inn was beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and made us very welcome, taking time out to ensure that we enjoyed what Lenox had to offer. A real mix of comfort and culture. Thank you for a memorable stay for all the right reasons.

Room Tip: Those with physical mobility issues may prefer to avoid a room on the top floor.

We stayed at Brook farm for 2 nights, and were very pleased. Rooms were decorated traditionally, but tastefully (lots of frills and flowers), and were very clean. Communal areas in particular were beautiful with high ceilings and real fires. Our hosts were very helpful with recommendations of places to see, and greeted us by name every morning, for delicious breakfasts (I have brought home recipes!). Very short stroll into town: a flashlight recommended at night! And as a brit, proper tea in a proper tea pot, with homemade scones is always going to win my praise! Lenox is a quiet place, and Brook farm is a quiet, personal B&B: highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

Room Tip: Attic rooms are less chintzy than those on the first floor. The poets room is much prettier than it...

Close to town, but off of the main drag.

Tea and scones at 16:00 - 17:00 are nice. Breakfast is good. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: don't pick room 4 if you have mobility problems, bathroom is down a couple of steps from the be...
