“Eat on the porch and enjoy the food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2014

Going to Firefly was a wonderful experience. We sat on the porch during a lovely evening. We had the shrimp to start and the veal for dinner. Both were excellent. The veal was a bit over cooked (medium instead of medium rare) but the taste was still good. What made our time even better was the wonderful "down to earth" waitress that we had. A "rose amongst the thorns" of "snooty" people "up from Boston", she was a breath of fresh air. Thank you for being real!

“An OK Lenox restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

OK but not great food. We and our friends enjoyed a variety of different menu items but did not consider any to be really special except for their offering of a "Brooklyn Blackout Cake" on their dessert menu. It was quite good and made the 2 of us who grew up in Brooklyn long ago nostalgic for the old Ebinger's bakeries.

“Sooooo Slow”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

Very slow service. We were one of the first diners there, so it wasn't busy. Took forever to get salads; over 30 minutes! How long does it take when they are busy? If you plan to have dinner before Tanglewood or Jacob's Pillow, you may be late getting there.

“Waitstaff needs training.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014 via mobile

Food was very good. Waitstaff was rude and considering being in a restaurant of fine dining, it is very sad to be treated my a woman who looks like shes having a bad day.

“fine food, sad service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

We dined at Firefly at the recommendation of a good friend and found the menu full of interesting items, all well executed. Our disappointment was the service - a Friday evening in August, tourists and music fans (near Tanglewood) galore -- but the restaurant was not full and so the service lapses were inexcusable. Greeted with a "how are you guys" - my wife and i are nearing 60 so how 'bout a simple "welcome" or "good evening?" -- it took two wait staff to finally get the younger helper to bring us water (much of which splashed on the table) - bread took another wait after our terrific blood orange martinis arrived. I had to ask twice for the check after asking to see a dessert menu and never being offered coffee or tea. $100 went quickly - we ate well, but won't return:( Some training is needed.
