“Lovely place to stay in Lenox!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2011

My husband and I stayed at the Kemble Inn for the last night of our honeymoon. The accomodations were just lovely. The staff was great, especially Laura, who gave a us tour of the inn. Our room was spacious with a very large whirlpool bathtub. The Kemble has all of the charm and ambiance of the great old house that it is but includes modern touches that make the inn a true luxury. We cannot wait to book our return stay for our anniversary next year!

After just a few hours in my car from Boston, I found myself at the beautiful Kemble Inn, a perfect mix of the extravagance of an time long ago and all the modern conveniences of today. The rooms were beautiful, the common spaces warm and inviting, and the outdoor spaces sprawling; the attentive staff made our time here both memorable and relaxing. More than anything, what I will remember most was the elaborate, delicious and fully satisfying meal masterfully prepared by their accomplished chef. I will definitely be returning to The Kemble Inn in the near future.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time during our stay. The restaurant at the Kemble Inn is simply amazing. Great tasting food, wine and ambiance made our dinner date a memorable one. I highly recommend staying over the weekend for the complimentary hors d'oeuvres and wine they serve on Saturdays. It adds alot to the stay and it's free! The location is great just because it's walking distance to all the action of the Berkshires. We walked to the cafes close by and even to Venfort hall. My husband and I are looking forward to going there again, especially in the summer time! Staff was very friendly as well!

Room Tip: The rooms on the second floor are fantastic! Especially 201!

Three of us booked a room for a girls' weekend. We had a large room at the top of the house with two double beds and a comfortable cot. We woke up to a beautiful mountain view. Things that made this a great stay: the staff were as nice and accommodating as they could be; the food was delicious, both dinner and breakfast; beds were comfortable; lovely lounge area. Things that would have made our stay even better: having our room made up every day; having a functioning lock on our door (it took 10-15 minutes of fiddling with the key to get it open); having someone around to check us out when we were ready to leave; breakfast just a little earlier than 8:30. The town of Lennox was a great choice. We visited several nearby towns, but Lennox had by far the best selection of restaurants and shops, and a cozy, New England atmosphere. The town and the Inn were a beautiful setting for a really relaxing weekend.

Room Tip: Room 303 at the top of the house is very large, with two comfortable double beds and plenty of room...

What should have been a Fall foliage weekend turned into one of the biggest northeastern snow storms in memory. Given lack of electricity, the Inn was aglow with candles, warm people, and great wine. The electricity returned the second day, and we were served a personalized gourmet breakfast. The Inn was impeccably decorated and maintained. Throughout our stay Norah was gracious, warm and accommodating. We can't wait to return to Kemble Inn.

The building is beautiful and stately; our room and its furnishings in very good taste, and the staff very helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts (included in the room rate) featured at least 15 selections from which to choose 3, as well as juice, coffee, etc. The dinner we had there one night was the best we had on our week-long vacation in the Berkshires. A couple of drawbacks: the room was in the low 60's - there seems to be something wrong with the heating system or duct work; dinner was only available one night during our stay; and they ran out of some items from the breakfast menu (fruit; cranberry juice), which they didn't seem to readily replace. The wait staff were superb.

Room Tip: The rooms on the 2nd floor are much better; they are much further away from the hustle & bustle...

We stayed almost a week at the Kemble Inn as a base to go to Tanglewood concerts and explore the area this summer. Overall quite nice--the room was of decent size with large, functional flat screen, the breakfasts very good, and the staff very friendly. Housekeeping could use some fine tuning--carpets were not vacuumed on a regular basis. Once we mentioned it after 4 days, it was taken care of but, its not something that should have to be mentioned when spending more than $200 a night. That being said, amenities are nice--bottled water and ice cream bars (!) available for guests, and a full bar/evening drinks, and snacks available most nights. Superb location, less than a 5 minute walk from the restaurants/shops in downtown Lenox. The Kemble has recently started serving dinners, and the one night we tried them, the food was excellent.
