We arrived at the Mansion shortly after 10 am when it opened. The ticket booth was closed with no instructions of how to get to the mansion or where to buy tickets. Being an adventurous soul I walked down and saw a sign saying 1/3 mile to the gardens so I proceeded on. When I arrived there a woman was selling tickets and I told her we had purchased the combo pack to see 2 attractions and I had my receipt and I was told by the place we were staying and the Shaker Villaage where we bought the tickets that if we decided to see any more just show our receipt and we could pay the difference at the other two attractions in cluded in the combo. The women know nothing about it and wanted us to pay an additional $17 per person. I asked to see someone in charge and was informed no one was there. We proceeded to walk the 1/3 mile back and met many confused people along the way and gave them the info about where to go.
We did get to watch a movie about the mansion that a gentleman told us about who was lost and found it by accident. It looks beautiful from the movie just wish I could have seen it in person.
