went ice fishing in Berkshires have been coming here since 2001 and have had a great time going to black swan was even better than usual had a great time the whole trip

We were more than pleased with our stay. The service was some of the best I have ever experienced. The onsite resteraunt was absolutley amazing. Kara at the front desk was extremely helpful and welcoming. We loved her! Our room was very comfortable and cozy. We would also highly recommend the onsite resteraunt (great service and food)!

The hotel is conveniently located close to Lee, MA on a beautiful lake (frozen when we were there). Super nice front desk person (Kara) who was just awesome checking us in, giving us several choices of types of rooms and locations and was more than happy to accommodate our request. She explained everything about the hotel; i.e.: where to park which was near the most convenient entrance to get to our room, the wifi code, the location of all amenities and then recommended with accuracy and experience the onsite restaurant (see review for Bombay). Just a great experience which seems to be getting to hard to find throughout the country.

We had a great time at this place. The staff was there to make sure we have everything that we need. Kara was the only one at the desk and we had an issue with the room, she quickly resolve it. Great staff and service we will come back summer time. Thank you to all the staff especially Kara for your service.

I had planned my stay here to celebrate New Year's Eve with my boyfriend. We stayed from Mon Dec 30, 2013 through Jan 1, 2014. Our room was very comfortable and cozy. We had a lakeside view room with a beautiful view of the lake and I loved waking up to that every morning. Being from NYC, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the nice cozy atmosphere of the Inn away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I highly recommend the Inn if you want to stay at a reasonable priced place that's very clean, cozy with a friendly staff. Kara was extremely helpful and catering to us on our stay, we thank her for that as well as the rest of the staff. We look forward to coming up there soon for a stay possibly in the Spring 2014.

Room Tip: second floor with a lakeside view. rooms have a nice little deck so you can be outside in the comfor...

We here at the Black Swan Inn cannot thank you enough for your amazing review of our property. Reviews like yours really help our future guests make their lodging decisions when traveling to the Berkshires. Not only do they benefit anyone interested in traveling to the area, but they are very rewarding when seen by our staff. The staff here follows TripAdvisor very closely and sometimes they see these new reviews even before I do. So as you can imagine, seeing that you collectively, or you personally made a positive difference in one of our guests stay can be very uplifting.

A major portion of our customers are from major cities such as New York and Boston. Most of which are looking to do exactly what you mentioned in your review, and that is escape. Those places can be great places to live, but they are as you mention, very fast paced. The Berkshires being such a short drive from both of these locations, offers that chance to slow down. Whether its catching a concert at Tanglewood, home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, visiting some of the many historical sites and museums, or even just taking the time to enjoy the nature around you, the Berkshires have something for everyone.

We stayed the greater part of Christmas week at the Black Swan and were extremely pleased with both the accommodations and service. The physical location was charming and worked in well with our plans. Having the restaurant on the premises and the continental breakfast was a definite plus. Paul and Kara were especially helpful, as were the rest of the staff. We will be planning more trips to the Berkshires and expect to be back here again.

This was my second time staying at the Black Swan, the first being last spring. On this visit, the bedroom was large, modern, comfortable with a magnificent view of the lake. The staff helped us locate restaurants that were open late on Christmas Eve and also restaurants open for lunch on Christmas Day. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, the coffee was strong but not bitter. Kara, Rob and Paul were great hosts. I have already begun telling my friends and other family members to book at the Black Swan Inn for their next trip to the Berkshires.

Room Tip: Book a room with a lakeside view. It is quieter than the street side.
