My experience here was completely unbelieveable. My kids and I arrived at this property late on a Friday evening. Didn't think there'd be a problem, since we had a confirmed reservation and guaranteed the room for late arrival .... WRONG!!!! We arrived to find out that our room had been put "out of service" and our only option was to stay in a Parlor room. Assured this was a larger room that was just as comfortable as a normal guest room I'd been guaranteed, and knowing there was no other lodging options available on the Cape that late at night, we agreed. Immediately upon opening the door to this "fabulously comfortable Parlor room, I discover we'd been sent to a conference room that had an old musty pull out sleeper sofa with a 2" thick bumpy mattress. My 6'3" son was stuck sleeping on a cot, which was about 5" too short. But the fun doesn't stop there. Ten minutes after we checked in to our "luxury Parlor room", I hear a key slide and the door opens to our room. In walks another family. The sharp front desk clerk who had checked us in a few minutes earlier, checked this family into the SAME ROOM! Furious and tired (it's now 1AM), I complained to the sharp front desk clerk -- who politely apologized.

This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I've ever encountered. I've travelled extensively for business and leisure, staying in a range of moderate to luxury properties. Never has something like this happened. I've never posted comments on this site before (or any other site for that matter), but our experience was too inexcusable to let go.

Please -- pass over this property. There are plenty of other great options on Cape Cod. This is a shabby, unprofessional property that hides behind a nationally known brand name - "Sheraton". Don't get taken by this farce.

“worst hotel ever thanks to Manager Roikie”

This is worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire lifetime. We called to let them know our business group would be arriving late that night, and they said it would be no problem. When we got there, they said they had a special rate for us, $50. Why? Because they had run out of rooms and had set up "beds" in conference rooms for us. And by "bed," they meant they had pulled out a couch. We fled so fast, we didn't have time to even check and see whether the room had a bathroom, much less a shower. I would bet against it.

According to the front desk woman, it's all due to some terrible manager named Mr. Roikie. He constantly has them overbook, and sends the leftovers to conference rooms or to other hotels. Mr. Roikie, if you're reading this, you are a pathetic excuse for a manager.

“Four Points Sheraton - A Nice Place to Stay”

I will admit I checked into this hotel with some trepidation as I had read quite a mixed bag of reviews on this hotel on TripAdvisor after making my reservation. Usually, I am very careful and read reviews before making my selection, but I went ahead and booked my first stay from Hotwire before doing my homework. WE HAD A VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE. Our rooom and bathroom were very clean. The carpet and bed linens looked as if they had been recently replaced and we had a nice balcony where we sat each morning before starting our day. The lobby was nice and large and the amenities looked very nice although I didn't have time to use them. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I did notice the doors going to the different floors were rough looking, but I think it is because they get beat by the luggage because there is not an elevator. My only disappointment was that they only had standard beds in the room with 2 beds and they are just really too small for 2 people, you need Queen size beds for 2 adults.
I would definitely stay there again!

“Fine but noisy hotel”

We stayed two nights recently and it is a very decent hotel. It was clean; the staff was accomodating and friendly.

However, it is NOISY. If other guests walk past your door talking, you will hear them. Also, the air conditioners cycle on and off in a very noisy fashion.

Additionally, our room was right next to the door to the lobby which squeaked, so every time that door opened or closed we heard this awful screeching sound. We told the front desk about it when we checked out, so hopefully this won't be a problem for anyone else.

I would recommend it, but bring ear plugs.

I booked the Hyannis Four Points hotel for 4 nights with some trepidation after reading the reviews on this website - last time we came to Cape Cod we stayed at Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster. Now I've stayed at many Westins, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton's, W hotels, so when I arrived here I was really surprised - the room was excellent for the price and location ($199). I stayed in room 106. The room was large with plenty of space for my 2 year old to run around (we asked for a room with 2 queen beds which tend to be larger). The bed and bed linens were new and the usual high quality of Starwood hotels along with planty of crisp over suffed pillows. The carpets were also new. Only the actual hotel structure seemed to be older. We did not use the pool or golf course that is part of the hotel, but we did take a tour of the facilities on the first day and they looked great. No complaints either with bathrooms etc. They provided cookies & lemonade during the day at the front desk. We had breakfast one morning at the hotel - the selection was good but at $17, I thought it was a little over-priced. Otherwise hotel was convenient to Hyannis Harbor which is a short ride and very convenient to Main St where all the restaurants are. Directly opposite is the The Paddock restaurant - this is styled like an old English pub. The food is very good quality and atmosphere is relaxed for 2 year old. Try the 2lb stuffed lobster which was best I have ever had. The other good restaurant in town that we went to was 'Fresh Ketch' with it's 3lb lobsters (you can tell I'm a lobster person'. EmBARgo is a new restuarant which was days away from opening while we were there. We went also to HYLINE fast boat to Martha's Vineyard for the day and we went whale watching (from Provincetown) where we saw planty of whales and of course went to the Lobster Pot restaurant. Overall great stay in Hyannis - do not read previous reviews as this is NOT representative of my stay.
