I'll keep this short because it's in line with what others have said -- in fact, what others have said is why I booked this hotel. I took my mom for her birthday and we had a great time. While the rooms in the hotel aren't the most fantastic thing I've ever seen, they're very clean and you even get a kitchenette, which is great for saving money.

Above all else, the people that run the hotel are some of the nicest business owners I've ever met! They took note of every request, and went above and beyond the call of duty to make our vacation special - it was like having your own compass/tour guide. I highly recommend the hotel for last-minute travel and a place to stay if you want to travel around the cape and islands for a few days.

All the positive reviews of the Seacoast Inn made this a logical choice when we knew we'd be going to Cape Cod for 4 days. Nevertheless, I was worried that it would be a bare-bones, 1950-ish type of facility. Not at all!

The room with its king-sized bed and little kitchenette was really more like a suite. It was kept immaculately clean. The owners were so friendly and helpful, offering maps and advice. The breakfast was as good as any I'd had in a franchise hotel chain.

When we were checking out, I mentioned that my husband and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, and that we had met on Cape Cod but hadn't been back for decades. Terri said, "Oh! I wish I'd known sooner." She hurried into the back room and emerged with a colorfully wrapped gift bag containing a large bag of Cape Cod Mints.

On top of all this, the price was extraordinary. We paid half of what we would pay when we left here, at a very mediocre inn in Rockport.

We stayed here for four nights as part of our New England honeymoon in September 2007. We booked only a couple of days before our arrival after viewing the reviews on TripAdvisor. Arriving just after the Labor Day weekend, the town and hotel were fairly quiet, but Terri made us feel very welcome and gave us all the information we needed about the local area.

The owners make it clear that they are not a resort style hotel, with no pool etc. but as long as you know what you are getting you won't be disappointed. As a base for getting out and about the Cape and islands you can't go wrong. One day we wanted to head to a local beach and we not only got advice from Terri but we were loaded up with beach chairs, towels and more!

We have booked to stay there again for slightly longer and in August this year and can't wait.

Our first trip to the Cape Cod area was enhanced by our stay at the SeaCost Inn. Although we only stayed 3 nights, we will be back in the future for a longer sojourn.

As many others have mentioned, the inn is very well maintained and almost spotless. It's nice to have a fridge in the room to story drinks, etc. Parking is free and just outside your room, plus the location is excellent.

While there, we took the express ferry over to Martha's Vineyard and a bus tour of the island. Terri was able to get discount tickets for the ferry and we just walked down to the dock, leaving our car at the inn, saving a $10 parking fee.

Acting as a travel agent, she plotted on a map a course for us to visit several towns and beaches along the middle cape, steering us to some of the local roads. One night we attended a Cape Cod League baseball game and they loaned us some lawn chairs. You can walk to the game although we drove and ended up just sitting in the bleachers. Had a great time.

Just a block from the inn is the main street with shops, restaurants, and the Kennedy Museum. Outside of town is a mall and several chain restaurants.

Overall, a great stay!
