Far and away the best Days Inn we have encountered with a special commendation to the staff. The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Cape Cod and is pretty quiet despite its main road location. Rooms are standard fare for this level of chain hotel, but are clean and have refrigerators and microwaves. Breakfast is average and the room can get very crowded so get down early to avoid the rush. We have stayed here 7 or 8 times, so recommended.

We always stay in Hyannis to get the first ferry out the next day to Nantucket and look for reasonable accommodations.

Took a chance staying here based on the trip advisor reviews which were in fact very accurate

We've never stayed at a Days Inn due to reputation issues but I have to say this location was a very pleasant surprise. The room was very clean and updated. Most of all the rate was great for what we received which also included a free breakfast.

There are a few other chain / brand name hotels but they're 40-60 more per night

Also there are a couple "local type" places which are same higher price and offer convenient locations to the ferry but are really not worth the extra price.

If your looking for a good value for a one night stay this was a hit

My husband and I arrived at the Days Inn Hyannis on Friday October 18 and checked out on Sunday October 20, 2013. Our stay was pleasant--the front desk staff as well as the staff maintaining the coffee and breakfast buffet/pool area were very friendly.

This is definitely a no-frills type of hotel but that was fine with us. The continental breakfast was enjoyable--good selection of baked goods, yogurt, cold and hot cereals, bagels, toast, and waffles--even hard boiled eggs. (a little rubbery) I prefer a coffee maker in the room which this hotel does not have. The breakfast hours are 7:30-10:30 AM and I usually have my morning coffee around 5 AM. (Yes even on vacation I get up early)

We were in room 106 which meant we had to walk down a short flight of stairs that could be better configured--too steep and small. The place could do with a rehab but it was adequate for our needs. The short walk in our bathing suits across the parking lot to the indoor pool without robes was chilly. The hot tub was fabulous! Note: room 106 is directly across from the outdoor pool. This might make a difference in the summer with noise if one wanted to enjoy the patio outside the room.

The hotel is conveniently located a block from Main Street--a great place to find restaurants and shops. Some were closed for the season but there were still many open. Even strolling after dark, one felt safe. It's about three blocks to the ferry docks.

We opted to stay in Hyannis as it was about a three hour drive from our home. After reviewing several possibilities, we chose The Hyannis Travel Inn. It fit our needs perfectly and I would stay here again.

First it was definitely not worth the price! They need to get an elevator, guest should not have to carry their luggage up a flight of stairs to the 2nd floor. I asked them did they have complementary bottled water and was told that water was in the vending machine for $1.75 for a 16 oz bottle. So when I read other reviews where guests were offered bottled water that concerns me . The decor was still the same from the 80's, I suggest they invest some money in updating it. The cleaning staff are very loud in the morning and even though I had a Do Not Disturb sign on the door the still called the phone every day against my wishes. The breakfast was horrible the only good were the apples and oatmeal packets. Every morning I was woken up by the smell of a burning toaster. Not worth any more than $50.
