“The Best B&B in Hyannis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2010

Unfortunately we only had a short stay here but the B&B and the hosts, Nick and Mike, were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They recommended restaurants, booked one in advance for us and gave us a lift to the ferry port. We were made to feel at home.
The B&B was spotless and had a lovely garden and porch. It is about a 5 minute walk from a beach and within walking distance of the town and the ferry port.
The breakfast was delicious and they even offered to make us something before we went to catch the very early morning ferry to Nantucket.
This is a fantastic place and we hope to be able to return.

What can you say about this Inn that hasn't been said already? Yeah it's a tough one as all the glowing reviews are absolutely true, it really is that good.

Let's give it a try anyway.

Firstly we would like to thank Mike and Nick for their patience, understanding and good humour.

Our main reason for visiting Hyannis was to see our son who is working as a soccer coach on Cape Cod and we were also joined by our other son from the UK, this was his first experience of B&B in the USA and he thought this was the best accommodation experience he has ever had, especially the banter he shared with Nick and Mike, which basically means poking fun at dad!

Our room was the efficiency apartment which was very clean and comfortable and made us feel very much at home.

The breakfasts were a joy not only because of there very high quality and variety, (we had a different one everyday for 6 days), but the way Nick and Mike brought the best out of their guests, which made for a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

Mike and Nick were always on hand with advice about where to eat, what beaches to visit and they even made bookings for ferry and Whale watching trips, they even let us phone the UK as our Mobile wasn't working the USA.

Until now we have always booked our vacations based on the places we want to visit but we can't imagine not wanting to return to the Green Mountain Inn, we feel we have made two very special friends in the Nick and Mike.

Sorry guys… WE WILL BE BACK!!

I have stayed at the Green Mtn Inn numerous times and once again it proves to be the best place in Hyannis. Ideally located on Sea Street about 1/2 mile from Main Street where numerous restuarants and shopping is located. The Hosts, Mike and Nick are always sure to please and Mike makes a terrific breakfast.

We came to the Cape at the end of August for a wedding and stayed at Green Mountain Inn. Mike and Nick were amazing hosts, very friendly, helpful and so fun to talk to. My husband and I were with 2 other couple friends and it was WAY better than staying at a hotel. We all had breakfast (homemade every morning) on the wonderful deck, lounged by the Koi pond and could easily walk to the beach or to Main Street. It was the perfect getaway with perfect lodgings. We would definitely recommend this B&B to friends.

We were made most welcome by Nick and Mike and the accommodation was perfect. The location is great, being close to the beach (walkable) and to the centre of Hyannis. The breakfasts served on the verandah are to die for especially the blueberry pancakes and the homefries!
Most homely and in a beautiful garden setting. We would definitely return to the Green Mountain Inn if we come back to the Cape.

We found this Inn online and then booked by telephone. Nick was very helpfull in arranging accomodation for us and recommending somewhere for us to stay as he only had vacancy for 3 nights and we wanted 5 nights. When we arrived Nick and Mike very very helpful in informing us of places to visit and also offered to drop us off at the ferry and save on parking fees. We sadly did not make use of this offer. But we thought it was very kind and thoughtfull. Nick also gave us good advice re whale watching and help us book an excursion. Thanks to his advice we had a great day. Without him guiding us re the whale watching trip we may not have been able to book in time. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Very quiet at night. Nick and Mike also do great breakfast and we found them great hosts and very eager to engage all the guests in a bit of an early morning "chit chat". Staying here was fun and Mike and Nick are very kind and easy going hosts with good ideas and advice. We felt as if we were staying with friends.

My boyfriend and I just returned from two nights at the Green Mountain Inn -- our only regret is that we could not have stayed longer! We read the amazing reviews and took a chance on this place and we were not disappointed. Nick and Mike were fantastic even before we arrived. On the phone, both of the guys were very nice and helpful -- and even though we arrived two hours later than we planned to, they were very accommodating and gave us a very warm welcome. The B&B is well located - only a 2 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to Main Street in Hyannis. There is a nice little parking lot and the property is beautiful with gardens and a hammock out back. Our well decorated queen room was big and lovely. It was PERFECT because it is a very quiet room on the second floor that has its own bathroom - we didn't hear a peep from anyone else during our stay. Because it is a B&B, we didn't expect the perks you get in a hotel (i.e. having the bed made or getting a fresh set of towels everyday) but Mike and Nick surpassed our expectations, even arranging a cute heart on our bed (made from two fresh towels) when we were out! They were also really great about giving us a ton of ideas for where to eat and what to do while we were in the Cape.

Breakfast on both mornings was delicious -- they are excellent cooks. One morning we had breakfast burritos -- made to order! - along with mini corn muffins, coffee, juice, fruit and home fries. The next morning we had amazing stuffed french toast, bacon, home fries, coffee and juice and fruit. Our hosts had a really positive, friendly attitude during our entire stay and were experts at introducing guests to each other and making sure we all had a fun and interesting conversation over our morning breakfast.

The only very, very small thing we would have liked would have been for the bathroom to have been stocked with liquid shower gel instead of tiny bars of soap - but this is a fairly minor request.

We are already planning our return visit and eagerly recommend staying at this gem of a place!
