“Good Service But Average Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

My wife, daughter and I arrived for a one night stay and were warmly greeted by the receptionist. We had booked two double beds because this was all that was available at the time, however the bed was too small for me and thus not very comfortable. The room itself was very small and stuffy when we arrived, so we opened the window to let some fresh air in. The bathroom was clean, modern and updated and the breakfast in the morning was great along with the service. The front desk staff were very helpful in suggesting restaurants nearby to eat and we ate at the Olive Garden which was located right next door and very convenient.

Jessica Pandis works the front desk with a smile and what can I do to help. I needed to mail a package and she to a great deal of trouble to help me get it done. I will stay at this hotel again if I am ever in the area. Great job and much thanks!!!

Our first night on our Cape Cod adventure was spent at The Turning Stone Casino & Resort in Verona, N.Y. Then on to Hyannis, Mass. for three nights! This is a motorcoach tour with 48 wonderful people on board. The staff welcomed us, made sure everyone knew how to get to their rooms, got our baggage delivered promptly. Everyone seemed to be very pleased with the accommodations! The staff was so very friendly and helpful. We had our meals in a private room which was really quite nice and the food was excellent!

We were upgraded to a two storey room with a jacuzzi bath and lovely big balcony with chairs. The bed was huge and comfy. Clean rooms. Breakfast was good with friendly staff. Pool had a lifeguard even though there was hardly anyone there. I didn't swim as pool indoors. Only didn't give 5 as the hotel corridors are a bit old and dated but they were painting them whilst we were there so may improve. It did not affect quality of our stay at all.

We arrived hours before check-in was allowed and they graciously let us check-in and park our trailer in the lot and head out to do some exploring. Our room was spacious and we travelled from this location to bike several areas of the cape. It was a quick trip to the waterfront which was quite lovely and we caught the high-speed ferry from there to Martha's Vineyard. Once again, the hotel let us leave our trailer there while we did this after our check-out time. Very accomodating. Quick walk to several restaurants as well as the one in the hotel which had good breakfasts for us.

Stayed here for four nights while visiting family. The lobby was very nicely appointed, and our room seemed newly renovated and clean, and the front desk clerk Jody was very nice and accommodating, however, certain details were overlooked by management. The side-door stairwell entrance was unkept and clearly housekeeping was not maintaining the area. We used this as our primary entrance throughout our stay and after a while it became clear that no one was checking to see if it needed vacuuming and if perhaps there was trash. During our entire stay a discarded soda cup with ice was left inside the hallway as you enter (needless to say the ice melted) and as time passed i wondered if anyone from management would clean it up (but they never did). These are the details that I expect from a four or five star rated hotel. This hotel has potential, but it has the feeling that management is not "on top of things." the buffet breakfast could have been better, but again, servers seemed untrained, and my only dinning experience frustrating due to lack of professionalism by the server, who was only halfheartedly doing her job (kitchen antics and cell phones distracting her perhaps?) All in all, it was an okay stay. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, it was quiet, the front desk very helpful, and the location met our needs. On our next visit to the cape we may try another hotel...but who knows, this may be as good as it gets in Hyannis.

We arrived in Hyannis in the evening, without reservations. We had a coupon book for hotel discounts. Arrived at one hotel and the moment the saw the discount book told us they were full. Decided to call the Holiday Inn...not only did they welcome us, they honored the coupon. The rooms was bright and clean. Pillows and bed were spotless. We found the rooms very tidy and clean. The pool and hot tub were clean and nicely warmed. Sometimes the pool is cold and the tub mediocre but not here. Staff was friendly and helpful, the bartender very pleasant. All in all a very nice spontaneous stay. Also very close to the center of town and right near the mall.
