“Good, not great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2009

Having read the reviews we decided this one was a must, but weren't dazzled. The lobster bisque was good, but doesn't compare to some we've had. The polenta crab cakes were good, My wife had the pan seared sea scallops and we both agreed that they were the highlight of the meal. My baked seafood platter was ok but FAR too heavy on the wine.

I was given a drink in a glass with something floating in it - I have to say that was a great disappointment. The restaurant is apparently very busy until around 7, when their older customers leave - showing up at 7 would probably be a good idea.

“Top Rating Fully Justified”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2009

Fully justifies its number one rating in Hyannis. Food is top quality, clearly prepared by fully qualified chefs. Good wine list, nice atmosphere. Waiter clearly very tired and anxious to get home by the time we arrived around 8.30, but did nonetheless manage to deliver decent service!

“Old School looking - innovative, high quality dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2009

We were a little skeptical when we walked into the Paddock it was very formal with an older crowd. We were pleasantly surprised by the menus variety and fresh options. The food was cooked to perfection and the quanity and quality were great! We all tried a different entree halibut, scallops, swordfish, fisherman's platter grilled all we perfect! The salads were great and the clam chower thick and delicious. The wine list was wonderful as well - if you go after 8pm and you tell them $8 after 8 they will take $8 off each entree! That was an incredible deal - my teengagers and the couple we dined with al loved their meals - everything was fresh and plated in an appealing way - I will return every trip back east - this place is a keeper!

“Wonderful food at a reasonable price.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2009

We went to this restaurant on the advice of our B&B innkeepers. We were so impressed that we went back the second night! (The owner recognized us immediately, which just shows how attuned to his clients he is.) Initially, what drew us in was a special promotion; but after one dinner there, we realized what a great find it was and had to go back the next night.
The food was very well prepared. The seafood was fresh, of course, and the preparations were very good. The pistachio encrusted salmon and seafood stew were delicious! You also need to try the lobster mashed potatoes - they are amazing!
The service was just as wonderful on the first night when they were quiet as on the second night, when they were packed. The owner even came around each time to see how we were doing.
The ambience is warm and welcoming. The chairs are very comfy, which is a plus after a long day of trekking around the Cape! The restaurant seems very upscale, but the atmosphere was casual, which is great for vacationers.
This restaurant has been around for almost 40 years, the chef has been with them 20+ years. It is obvious they have stood the test of time due to their high quality & strong service.

“Great Eatin!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2009

This restaurant was just amazing. The food was delicious and reasonably priced (i.e 2.5 lbs of lobster for under $50). The service was better than any service I have had in NYC (comparing to top rated, VERY EXPENSIVE restaurants in NYC). I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is in the Cape Cod Area. The atmosphere was romantic, yet comfortable. The staff seemed like they were family, which made it even more appealing.
Don't miss out on the lobster and the seafood platter! Enjoy!
