“Rocky start - not a bad place for a tourist town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

Checked in at 2PM-check in time-signed paper work, handed keys (yes, those ridged metal things not a swipe card) and headed to the room. Room a mess, hadn't been cleaned/turned over yet (check out time is 11AM). No active room cleaning going on around the complex. Front desk sent a cleaning crew, room ready in 45 minutes. Room comfortable, wall mounted AC units worked well on a hot day. Outdoor pol was clean warm. Quite a few broken pool side lounges, and pool deck room was a bit tight. Located right on the east end of Main Street provides easy access to the ferries and shopping. Reasonably priced for in season and location in a tourist. Also has an indoor pool that we didn't get a chance to check out, but lots of kids seemed to be having a great time in there.

We stayed here one night. It was relatively clean and comfortable for just the night. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, but bathroom had quite a few spots of mold around the tub. It was a little gross but not enough to completely turn me off to the experience. Water pressure was good, towels were clean and fresh. Complimentary breakfast was a little sparse, just cereal and things to toast, but seating area was relatively small. However, there are several restaurants serving breakfast within a few blocks of the hotel, on Main Street. The location to the busy part of Main Street wasn't too bad - a couple of blocks. Front desk was friendly also. Overall, nothing outstanding about my stay but it served its purpose.

It's a motel - rooms are clean - comfortable (the matresses are to die for !!!!!!! VERY PLUSH) - rooms are large, a little outdated but for us it was fine - We don't require anything fancy - just clean, comfortable and convienent - this place is right on Main St - walking distance to EVERYTHING downtown - roughly 2 blocks from the stramship ferry to Nantucket - you can park and never use your car again if intersted in stores, sites, and eateries in downtown Hyannis - or drive to nearby sites - great place - will definately go back again !!!!!!!! - if you looking for quietness I suggest you ask for the 2nd floor

Room Tip: 2nd FLOOR - less noise from other guests !!!!!!!

I think the title speaks for itself. I could go on a tirade, however, Trip Advisor reminded me not to be so expressive in my use of adjectives for this place, so I have edited my thoughts to just a few lines. Denied a cup of coffee in the morning because I showed up a bit too soon. Quite ironic when the desk clerk locks the door behind him as we approach, with a steaming cup of coffee in hand, and tell us there is no coffee until 8am, it was about 7:30am . Can you say lazy ? I could clearly see the carafe of coffee he made through the window next to the door.
Prior to check out, the maid decided to barge into our room, seconds after I got out of the shower, and screamed for her to wait. No attempted apology, it was 9:00 am , 2 hours before checkout. What the heck are you doing entering our room on the day of check out ?? Don't they know who's leaving that day? Obviously, not. The people running this motel are looking to make a quick buck. Forget about courtesy, and a people friendly business model. They only care about getting your $$ and checking in the next unlucky sap. America's Best Value Inn should screen franchisor's for people who really care about providing a service, and not just making a buck, sorry days lay ahead for the people of America....

Room Tip: a good tip would be to check into any other motel on the Cape, you couldn't do worse than I did...

We had a unorganized plan of visiting Capecod one morning and decided to stay in a hotel overnight . We found this hotel through a site and turned out to be the lowest on price in CapeCod for that night (atleast in the search results). I wasn't expecting much specially for the price we paid, and that being a long weekend. I was surprised to see that we had 2 deluxe clean comfortable beds, room was pretty good . Bathrooms were clean . And to my surprise they had complimentary breakfast (Which I didn't expect at all.) Plenty of parking space,Indoor Swimming pool, location is pretty good as well. Near by a couple of ferry boarding stations.(Just walkable distance). And yes the staff was friendly to all our questions . They drew us maps to places we can visit and guided us to the ferry's. Great Experience..

After spending, for many years, my Cape Cod vacations at a small family owned motor inn, last summer I decided to go right across the street to a "chain" motor inn known to cater to families with children and seniors. I refer to one of the "America's Best Value Inn and Suites" at 206 Main Street, Hyannis, Massachusette 02601. It has a cheerful, welcoming atmosphere; is well-maintained; keeps clean rooms; a gracious front office supposedly open and staffed throughout the night; and a small coffee room open for the seniors early in the morning. There is plenty of parking space to accommodate this two-level motel as well as a swimming pool. Its location is ideal for tourists. It's at the east end of Main Street of Hyannis, a busy shopping and dining district. Also, the price is right for seniors and families, but rates are really not that much lower than in privately owned tourist motels. I hope to return to "America's Best Value Inn and Suites" this summer.

Room Tip: With small children who go to sleep early, choose a room at the back of the motel, because it is loc...
