5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2014

Stayed 2 nights in May. 2014. Front desk staff friendly, helpful. Rooms spotless. Bathroom shiny clean . Buffet breakfast included- plenty to choose from. Will definitely stay here again- a gem on the Hyannis.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2014

6th / 9th may 2014. couple from Scotland aged late 40's
first THE BAD POINTS:
We arrived late at night around 11pm. No staff on duty. The hotel had placed our room keys in a drawer at reception for us to collect. There were no directions to our room. It took us (with 3 large suitcases) 20mins to locate our room, we went upstairs, on the east wing, then back down stairs, along east wing downstairs corridor, then back to reception, We transferred to the west wing via going outside, back up stairs, along the west wing corridor till we found our room. Note: no staff on duty after 10pm. It felt a bit creepy.
Next day we slept late and came to reception for breakfast around 10:30am. breakfast was already closed. missed it. There are no tea bags in rooms only an instant coffee machine. They have no in-room safes, we had to locate the local mall and buy a shoulder bag to carry our computers, jewellery, passports and spending money around with us at all times.
In the town of Hyannis on Main Street there are some very, very bad restaurants, so please get a recommendation from the hotel first, don't just wander into town hoping to find a good one.

THE GOOD POINTS:
Hotel is in a great location for exploring the area. Breakfast (when we got it) very fresh. room had a balcony with bay / ferry port views, clean, good friendly staff, well priced.
The entire areas beaches are world class. We especially loved the town of Provincetown, It is picture postcard perfect. JFK museum in Hyannis is worth a visit. You can see the Kennedy compound from the beach, but no local will assist you in finding it. you will have to research the location yourself. Cape Cod has great history connecting it to the arrival of the first settlers from Europe.
FINAL WORD:
We would return to this hotel if we visit Cape Cod again in the future.
Just don't expect a 5 star Hotel. It is a well placed, clean, comfortable base for exploring the area.
There is a unique vibe to this Hotel and the entire Cape Cod peninsula, it is more about peace and quiet and the beautiful coastline.

Room Tip: book upstairs west wing room with balcony. worth paying the little extra for the view.

Dear Sir.
Through email conversations between us prior to your arrival you informed us that you may be arriving late. We informed you that during the period of your stay, the check in office closes at 11PM and to let us know if you would be arriving after 11PM so that we could make special arrangements for your arrival. We did not hear from you. We waited for you until midnight. We did leave specific directions in the lobby for you to contact our on premises staff who were waiting for your call and would have directed you to your guest room and provided any assistance you needed. We serve breakfast until 9:30. It would have been our pleasure to put something together for you at 10:30 upon request. We have coffee and tea available in our Lewis Bay Library. We have a safe in our office available for all our guests. It would have been our pleasure to secure your personal items. You can indeed see the Kennedy Compound from the beach. We (locals) direct our guest to the beach all the time. We would have been glad to do the same for you of course. We are in the hospitality business. We are here for you and to serve you.

Sincerely
Lisa and Skip Simpson

We again enjoyed our stay at the anchor In. After a long trip, it was very nice of the staff to make us welcome. We would highly recommend this hotel. The staff and rooms are great. Included light breakfeast is first rate.

I stayed for one night this month and the hotel was perfectly nice for the price. The staff was helpful and courteous. We did not have time to take in the library or the breakfast, but will next time. Convenient to the ferries and the center of town. I will definitely return.

Last week we spent three nights at the Anchor In Hotel in Hyannis. We were fortunate to be able to stay in the Centerville Room with a beautiful view of Hyannis Harbor. Since the weather was cold and windy, we spent more time in our room than we usually would and enjoyed the large room and comfortable sitting area. The staff of the hotel were all friendly and helpful. There is a very nice breakfast served in the library area every morning. This area has books and games available and chairs and tables around a fireplace. Coffee and tea are available all day in the library also. We traveled for two weeks in Maine and Massachusetts, and the Anchor In was one of our favorite places.

I recently stayed for a week at the Anchor In. It was wonderful in every respect. Spotless, lovely decor, amazing staff, amazing location. Wonderful breakfast in the morning. They put 110% in what they do, and it shows. I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and will certainly come here again.

We stayed here for a weekend and the place is great. The breakfast offered is more than continental less than a ful, just right! The staff is very warm and friendly. The rooms are clean and well kept. THere really are no down sides to th resort and we hope it stays that way. A special thanks to our maid Marissa who was very friendly.

Room Tip: upper level rooms have a better view of the harbor
