“Close & Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

You can walk to this beach from the Sea Coast Inn. It offers views of the harbor and has several different areas to enjoy. The small take out concession actually has some yummy choices. Lots of parking too if you choose to drive.

“beach beach and more beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

Great fall day collecting shells. This is a must go Beach. The water was so clean and the air so crisp. A great way to spend an afternoon with friends.
Found a few shells to take home too.

“Try the beach on the left when you pull in....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Kalmus is split into 2 sections. The first section when you pull in is on the right and that is mostly used for windsurfing. This area can get very windy. If you drive straight back to the end of the lot the other section will be to your left(left of the bathrooms/food court). This is much more serene and great for families. There's a roped off section of beach great for youngsters but you can also walk way down to the right by the jetty wall. The beach and sand is much nicer there but it is a long walk. If you don't have much to carry the walk is worth it. You can even watch all the passing ships and ferries heading towards Hyannis Harbor and Nantucket. Check it out. The customary parking fee applies here.

“beautiful beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

We visited this beach early evening on our first night in Hyannis. It was a little windy, but we sat in our beach chairs & spent a nice hour watching the surfers and the sunset - very beautiful.

“Beautiful, sandy beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

The only thing I disliked were the Horseshoe Crabs, hundreds of them, dead on the beach. The beach was stunning though.
