“I love this beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is a wonderful, wide open, clean beach - perfect for almost everyone. It's accessible for people who use wheelchairs, there are lovely tidal pools at low tide where you can park your little ones safely, and it is incredibly walkable.
Along the main street are many fabulous restaurants. There is also an arcade, and several souvenir shops. In the middle section, near the bath house and public restrooms, there is a carousel with an ice cream shop attached.
This is truly a lovely place to visit (and live), whether you come in summer or throughout the year. In my opinion, there is nothing like winter on the beach:-)

“Beautiful long sandy beach in Hull, MA”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Nantasket is a wonderful beach, with nearby restaurants, a boardwalk, arcade, and beautiful antique carousel. Two caveats: The water is usually quite cold, and parking lots fill up early on weekends.

“Spectacular beach to enjoy !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

I'm a bit biased since this beach is just 3 blocks from my home on the bay, but Nantasket is a beautiful beach to enjoy with friends and family. It does get crowded at the main beach but if you drive towards the town of Hull or the "last bathhouse" there is more room to spread out. While you are there, get takeout at Dalat, The Red Parrot, Jake's or Mezza Mare. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced.
Drive around Hull and see an older town with some breathtaking views on both sides of the main road. The bay is also spectacular and you can see Boston. Drive over to the A Street pier and let the kids jump off the pier into the bay. Kids have been jumping here for 35 years and laughing all the way!

“Nice long beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Nice beach sand, great water sports and beach food right there.
Great for long beach walks.
Some parts of the beach do disappear @ high tides, so plan your day well.
At lower tides the beach gets huge.
Water is warmer than usual this year, great swimming & surfing.

“The beach at Nantasket”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

This is the only public beach in the area, so it gets pretty crazy busy on a hot summer day. Plan on getting there early or very late in you are looking for a free parking spot. The beach is virtually gone for about two hours around high tide, so be aware of the tide or you will get skunked. Also as it is coming in it moves fast so be prepared to move your gear several times, and don't go on any long walks with your stuff near the water--it will be under water when you return! Beach tends to be more crowded on the south end as most of the parking as well as the beach house and food is centered there. Water might be warm one day and cold the next so be prepared. Water is clean, and most people are pretty sensitive to cleaning up after themselves. Not all, so bring along a bag and clean up like I do--it makes you a better person. Unless you live in Marshfield, Cohasset, Scituate or Hingham and can use a town beach like me, this is it. Go to the upper end and watch surfers and paddlers taking in the waves. No dogs most of the year and the Rangers take this seriously so leave Spot home in the AC.
