I've been to Val's several times over the past few months for individual dining as well as two small private parties. The dining rooms are bright and well decorated and the food and service impeccable.

The restaurant serves classic dishes like steaks, broiled or fried seafood, specialty salads, and pasta items. Outstanding choices are crabmeat stuffed fillet of sole, open steak sandwich, taco salad, baked haddock in casserole, and shrimp and scallops in scampi sauce. The latter is served over angel hair pasta; garlic lovers are sure to marvel over the dish. House salad dressing/vinaigrette is quite good.

The restaurant offers a full bar in a spotlessly clean carpeted lounge with a fireplace. The cocktails are reasonably priced and nicely served. Service is excellent and the restaurant is always full - a testament to the quality of the food and the modest prices! Highly recommended!
