“Wiat until off season!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2010

We have been to Embers twice, once in early May and then again in July. We thought it was a bit noisy the first time, but in July, the racket was unbearable. Conversation was impossible. The pizza's fine; the prices fair, but if you plan to talk while you eat, go elsewhere. Our waitress was efficient and friendly, but she said she could do nothing about the backup in the kitchen (40 minutes wait for our order). This is obviously the "hot" new spot in Harwichport. But if Embers wants to survive, the owners have to pay more attention to their clients' comfort-- and eardrums.

“Two of the Worst Pizzas I've Ever Had”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2010

Limp, pale, thin crust that has no relationship to what one would expect from a coal fired 1000 degree oven. When I expressed my opinion to the management, I was told that Cape Cod doesn't know what a pizza from a coal fired oven is all about. I beg to differ. This pizza is just not worth eating. I've had better frozen supermarket pizzas than either of the pizzas we were served at Ember.

“Don't waste your money on the pizza”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2010

We were so excited to see this restaurant finally open! My husband ordered a pizza for takeout, and they said it would be 1/2 hour. That was ok, but when he went to pick it up, within 20 minutes (he figured he would go early and check the place out) it was a very small pizza... crust was like eating a very crispy piece of paper, and it was ice cold. NEVER NEVER NEVER again .... and we only live two minutes from the place!! NO THANKS!

“Ember pizza is nothing special to rave about.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2010

What we thought would be a different and fantasticnew taste of pizza wasn't really anything spectacular. The chicken wings are good but the pizza didn't generate any "wow" factor for us. Nice environment but if you want good pizza, I'd stick to a little cheaper and just as tasty local Harwich pizza shops.

“Welcome Addition to Harwich Port”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2010

Finally, a restaurant in this location that no doubt will stand the test of time. As a Cape Cod local, I have seen several eateries come and go in this prime Harwich Port location, and their demise was always predictable. Enter Ember and the once jinxed location looks like it is finally housing a winner.

The concept is simple - tasty, thin crust, gourmet pizzas, salads, wings, and comfort foods served in a stylish, yet casual setting complete with an open kitchen where you can peer in and see the coal fires in action.

Service was pleasant and the meal was paced just right. Clearly these owners, who also happen to own another great restaurant just down the street - the Port - know what they're doing and knew how to fill a much needed void for casual fare without fuss in downtown Harwich Port. We will certainly return!
