“GREAT PLACE TO STAY !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

We stayed at The Inn On The Beach from Sunday, July 29th to Thursday, August 2nd, 2012.
About a 7 to 8 hour drive from Montreal.
The three most important words in the hotel industry...
Location, Location, Location!
Go to their web page and look at all the pictures. What you see is what you get. None of the photos are exaggerated. The place is very well kept. It looks like everything got a fresh coat of paint or was replaced this summer.

Rooms: (room 12) Clean with working AC, a nice size fridge and microwave. The housekeeping folks did a great job every morning.

Breakfast: "Continental" breakfast very often means coffee and rolls and that's it, but at this place they have thought of everything. Three or four different kinds of coffee including decaf. Fresh muffins, croissants, bagels and danish. Also different kinds of bread for toasting. Hot and cold cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit and three kinds of juice. This was ready to go at 7am EVERY morning with the same variety each day.

Beach: One of only a few places in Harwich Port that are right on the water with their own private beach. Chairs and umbrellas are put out every morning, and the beach raked and cleaned as well.
We would stay here again tomorrow!

The location of this place is great if you like the beach or want to go into town. The first night we got to the inn it was very hot and the AC did not seem to cool at all. We mentioned to the maid the next day that we did not think it was working and within an hour the AC unit was replaced with a new one and it worked great. I believe the place is under new management and they are really in tune with providing excellent customer service. We would recommend going back here to anyone.

The owner Debbie and Joe are awesome people. They are very friendly and offer generous help with customers' requests. We spent a very pleasant July 4th day at the private beach on the inn and it was very delightful. We will definitely be back next time when we are planning another Cape Cod trip. I encourage you to book with Inn on the Beach and I am confident that you will not regret your decision.

My mom and I came here to spend a few days for an impromptu mini-vacation. Wow! Were we thrilled with the experience! The rooms are beautifully kept, the innkeepers are very kind (as are all members of the staf)f and you absolutely cannot beat the location! We're already talking about coming back next year with some additional family members! Thanks to all at the Inn on the Beach for making this an incredible vacation! Looking forward to next year already!!

Room Tip: The "Beach House" - although more expensive - has sweeping views of the ocean. We stayed...

First of all, this place has a nice beachfront of its own, so the price of a room in season (we stayed June 19-22) is quite reasonable. Better yet, there was an unexplained vacancy when we arrived, so we were upgraded to a larger room upon arrival. Harwich Port is roughly midway out the Cape, so it's a good starting point to drive east to Provincetown or west to Hyannis and Woods Hole. The bicycle trail also begins nearby, and is a wonderful ride (paved!) without tough hills to climb. We had no issues with cleanliness, and the staff are very friendly and relaxed.

Room Tip: The bathrooms are a pretty tight fit for an average size person, so if you are large you might inqui...

My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend at the beautiful newly renovated Inn on the Beach. We slept comfortably on the king bed in the beach house under a cathedral ceiling. The room was large and airy with windows that look out on the private beach and ocean. The weekend was rainy at times, so it was great to be able to turn the cozy gas fireplace on low when needed. The ceiling fan was also nice to keep the air circulating when the windows were closed. The sea breeze is delightful when the windows are open. The ocean sounds lulled us to sleep. The room was comfy and cozy and so pretty--not to mention exceptionally clean!

It wasn't swimming weather, but it was nice to walk the beach. The deck was a focal point to gather with the group of friends who joined us that weekend. Comfortable furniture and a gas fireplace made the deck a great place to gather.

The owners, Deb and Joe, are friendly and helpful, as is their professional staff, which went out of its way to make sure we were comfortable. And the coffee is delicious--nice way to start the morning. Harwich Port is beautiful and there is much to do in the area...even when it rains.

Lots of fun. Will definitely return and highly recommend the place to others. Great place for a weekend or a longer vacation. Friendly owners and staff and exceptionally clean rooms make this place a cut above. Family friendly!

Room Tip: They are all clean and pretty.
