“Beautiful Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

We went to this resort in May before the crowds all came and the whole place was beautiful just beautiful. The staff was great especially the older gentleman who brought our luggage to our room. We LOVED the view and the pool and the pool attendants. We loved frozen fruit on a stick for the kids and the awesome little ice cream truck! can't wait to go back again!!

Room Tip: Get a room with an ocean view

The Wequassett is infinitely easier to enjoy then it is to pronounce! ( just sound it out ) . This was our first trip to Cape Cod and now we understand what all the fuss is about . It is wonderful and this hotel defines everything that is good about this place .

The staff is first rate but never stuffy , always efficient and friendly . We were closing on the sale of our house in Texas and we needed to attend to incoming and outgoing documents . The staff at the reception desk was enormously helpful in getting this done .

The resort has an unusual layout . No large building but many small cottage style buildings with rooms . Our room faced the water , not all do , and we enjoyed watching sail boats and wild life . Get the second floor because you don't hear foot steps above you . Worth the money for sure . The room was not especially large . We really liked the Keurig coffee maker , best room made coffee ever !

The meticulous landscaping is pure Cape Cod , loads of hydrangeas and blooming flowers everywhere . They even moved several old historic houses onto the resort grounds . The interior design is beautiful everywhere.

This resort is perfect for families . There is a day camp for kids next to the tennis court so parents can play tennis or play golf in peace ! Many different water activities too.

There are many options for meals at different price points. We found the food to be good at all of them and recommend their amazing huge lobster roll !

Our one problem occurred when the weather turned rainy and humid and we had dinner near the bar Under cover but outside .We were bitten by some kind of bug that left welts that itched for 3 to 4 days . That misery was eased because they did not charge us for our wine that night !

This resort is well worth the money .

Room Tip: Get a water view on the second floor of a cottage .

For some inexplicable reason, she said "Yes". And by some guiding Providence we chose Wequassett to say "I do".

What a beautiful, beautiful property. THIS is Cape Cod at its finest. Stunning landscaping, sweeping vistas, impeccable accommodations, stellar service. This type of pampering doesn't come cheap (we were told we got a "deal" at $1,200/night) - but when you want the very best you don't bargain.

The hydrangea! Unbelievable. Yes, the Cape is renowned for this majestic shrub and the Wequassett is the epicenter of its beauty. Even if you aren't staying here, come by, park and walk around for a bit. Wow.

We had the somewhat unique opportunity to sample two different rooms (#13 and #43) and both were awesome. Unobstructed, panoramic ocean views + great privacy. Of the two, I'd give the nod to #43 by a nose. Just a bit more private and you can leave your blinds open all the time because the room is situated perfectly so that only the gulls can see you. Yet 13 felt larger because it was a one room suite whereas 43 was two - but the square footage was probably the same in both rooms.

Pros: Natural beauty, landscaping, clean, new, bright, high-end accommodations, smiling helpful staff, great on-site restaurant and bar, direct waterfront location, wonderful pool. I could go on but you get the gist.

Cons: not many. Pricey (but worth it). Some other reviewers have mentioned that sound travels from the upper units to the lower units - yes, true. Wood frame construction transmits even the sound of upstairs guests opening and closing the drawers. Kids - I was a bit surprised at how many there were (at this price range). It was a little noisy at the pool but not unduly. Now my wife and I have 5 kids between us so maybe we were looking for a complete respite but other than at the pool it was very, very quite.

Overall: A+

I'm confident that you'll agree that the Wequassett is perfect.

We recently enjoyed our second stay at Wequassett, and while we didn;t believe it could get any better than our first experience, it actually did! One of our colleagues remarked at check-in: "this is the single most unique welcome I have ever received at a resort", and he has stayed in many around the whole world. When was the last time you were offered a complimentary miniature lobster roll at check-in, setting the Cape Cod environment very effectively? The most notable "feature" of this whole property is the level of professionalism demonstrated by EVERY member of the staff - not put on, but genuine and sincere. They really WANT you to enjoy your stay, and it is impossible not to. Food= OUTSTANDING. Amenities = OUTSTANDING. Overall experience = OUTSTANDING!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view, but every room is elegant and comfortable.

My husband had a convention at the Wequassett, we stayed there for 3 nights out of a 14 days trip in Boston/Cape Cod area. This was the highlight of our vacation. It was paradise: room view with boats, pools and pirate ship for the kids, access to the beach, food was excellent, we really enjoyed our stay. We had many many requests and they were all so helpful. Thank you to the restaurants staff, pool staff, housekeeping and reception desk (Mr. Kevin) for this wonderful vacation. We will be back.

Recently I had the opportunity of staying at this Inn - and what a gem it is. A beautiful property in an idyllic location on Cape Cod. The dining facilities are excellent and the rooms extremely comfortable. Thank you to James Hackney; Executive Chef for his gracious hospitality. I look forward to returning again someday soon.

This was our 5th stay at Wequassett Resort - truly outstanding - exceptional service from front desk staff and everyone on property. This is the best place to relax and enjoy life on the Cape!

We loved our lunch at the Outer Bar & Grill facing poolside/beach and enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Twenty Eight Atlantic - the resort's signature restaurant. Breakfast next morning was absolutely memorable.

Room Tip: The Signature Water View rooms are stunning and offer spectacular views
