We ate here on President's day and it is possible they did not expect to be as busy as they were, since they were badly understaffed. Although the owner and her daughter were pleasant enough, they did not communicate much at all. I had just ordered two appetizers, which came fairly quickly, but the others at the table waited and waited, and we couldn't tell whether the kitchen was way behind or they thought my appetizers were for the table -- even though I had ordered no large entree. To compound things, the servers were not good about looking around so you could catch their attention. Instead they were busy clearing tables and setting up for later, and the only way to get hold of them was to be somewhat rude about it. Eventually the food came, and it was actually quite good -- not great, but certainly very tasty. Although I might normally just chalk this up to them not expecting so much business that day, the servers' habit of not looking up is a bad sign in any case. I also noticed that some other folks who came in and seemed to be regulars went and got their own menus, so probably our experience was more or less typical. Too bad, because the food would have been much more enjoyable without the stress created by unprofessional service.
