Last night I took relatives to the Aegean Breeze because they love Greed food and were visiting from out of town. This was against my better judgement because I have eaten there a few times in the past as always felt the food was mediocre at best. They convinced me to give it one last shot and we all left feeling that the food was not very fresh, the service was indifferent and we overpaid for such a negative overall experience. If the restaurannt wasn't their choice, I would have felt awful. There were six of us, and each of us had problems with the food and service. When we pointed out a problem to the waitress, she clearly didn't care and did nothing at all. Three of us ordered the prix fixe and never got our deserts. We had to repeatedly ask for water refills. We never got our second round of wine. Chicken and fish were very dry. Pasta dishes were large but bland and cold and skimpy on the meat/fish. An appetizer that we ordered never arrived. The restaurant has been around for several years and I don't see what the big deal about the place is. It seems to me that it's just coasting and getting by without really having to try very hard. The menu is very good and impressive -- though too expensive for what it is -- but the food and service (if you can call it that) come up way short.
