While on vacation in 2007, my wife, best friend and his wife decided to go whale watching. 7 Seas was recommended by many of the people we ran into and did those recommendations ever pay off. 16 different whales in a two hour span. The captain always would take you to the whale and he and the crew know how to find them. This is one of the best times I have had in recent memory. If you get the chance, go see them, you will not be disappointed!

We have been on 3 whale/dolphin watches over the years and this is the genuine article. Close up whale activity whilst feeding, 20+ whales, multiple breaches etc. These guys and galls have the fastest boat in the area, so can get in close and stay close. The boat is very roomy and plenty of viewing areas on deck so everyone gets a view.
Gloucester is a little out of the way, but you get the best chance of a great viewing from here. We stayed at the Bass Rocks Inn for a couple of days, and the only thing warmer than the heated pool was the staffs welcome and treatment.

My husband and myself visited Gloucester in Early June 06. We had planned a trip on the Seven Seas Whale Watch. I have to say this was probably the highlight of our time spent in Gloucester.

We found the entire trip was a great experience. The personel on board couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Also, the fact that Naturalists are aboard to give insight and direction was very helpful, informative, and made the trip more exciting, and educational.

Seven Seas Whale Watch did everything to make this experience one that passengers on board ( all passengers) would remember: We were not rushed, and the Naturalists and the Captain of the Vessel, made sure everyone had the oppurtunity to get all the pictures and video to have the memories to take with them .

We would highly reccommend anyone visiting the area to plan to take a Whale Watch Trip....I can only speak for Seven Seas and it was TOP OF THE LINE!!!

My husband and I just returned from a cruise to Alaska where we were excited by our whale watching excursion, until we went to Gloucester, Mass.! We took the 7 Seas Whale Watching cruise on July 9th and had a fabulous day of whale watching! Not only did we see the whales swimming around, but we also saw them feeding and diving. As if on cue to top the trip off, one of the whales, a 7 year old named Eruption (yes, the naturalist on board, Michelle, identified many of the whales by name!) began breaching and jumped out of the water between 25 and 30 times!

The crew was friendly and informative, especially Michelle and Peter, and the boat was clean and comfortable. This trip is an absolute must if you're going to Gloucester. We were staying in Salem and were so happy that we chose to take the trip, it was the highlight of our whole weekend!!!

Seven Sea's Whale Watch, one of the 1st whale watches in the area remains our favorite. The key here is comfort - their new boat is fast and comfortable. Yes the whales are fascinating, exciting and educational to watch, but just being able to spend a nice summer day tooling around on the ocean sometimes is worth the fare. Family owned, friendly,

There seem to be may whale watches now fighting for business but I think the best Cape Ann Whale Watch is still 7 Sea's Whale Watch.
