“Neighborhood bar with great prices and very interesting people”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We like to visit Gloucester a couple of times a month and this place has become our regular stop. The only food you'll get comes out of the vending machine. Are only experience has been Saturday and Sunday mornings and the folks hanging out at that time are generally "regulars". If you get there early enough there may be a boat crew getting ready to pull out. This is a bar, plain and simple. The people are friendly enough, the bartenders quite attentive and pleasant, and the prices can't be beat. Be sure to ask for the scrap book from the movie "Perfect Storm". The walls are lined with pictures of the cast and of the original crew of the Andrea Gail.

“Perfect Storm the movie”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2011

If you have seen Perfect Storm, starring George Clooney, then you will be familiar with the Crow's Nest. We visited this little bar to pay respects to the fishermen who went down in the Andrea Gail 20 years ago this fall.

We only had drinks there, so cannot comment on anything else.

It was great to speak to the locals to hear all their stories, and to look at all the photo's on the walls.

the pub itself was nothing special, but made special because of the film.
I could never imagine going out to sea as these fishermen do, the seas they must face to bring in their catch, amazing unsung hero's.

We would recommend this Pub just for the experience -
