On 6/1, my husband and I were aboard the Yankee Fleet Clipper with Capt Josh at the wheel. During one of the earlier stops, the bite was on for many of us. One older fisherman was struggling to reel in what turned out to be a 19 pound cod. Capt Josh coached the gentleman while politely clearing the stern, then starboard side of fishermen as the fish lead the tired gentleman around the boat. Finally, the fish was reeled to the surface where Capt Josh was able to gaff it. Capt Josh displayed the qualities of a Captain that any fleet should be proud to possess. He should be commended for his leadership, sense of responsibility, and concern for the clients that depend on him to manage the affairs of the boat. Josh also works very hard to locate fish and from this years fishing reports, he remains to be quite a blood hound! The crew should also be commended as they work very hard to make everyone's experience the best it can be. Mates Anthony, Dave O., and Ross are consistently the best at what they do and they make for a great compliment to the Captain. Let's not forget jovial Jay in the galley who presents the same food differently despite the unchanging menu. Jay is encouraging to the kids and they seek him out in return. Collectively, they are a great team and represent Yankee Fleet well. Lastly, the office staff are excellent to deal with and even the boss and owner is approachable and interested in the clients viewpoints. We always look forward to sailing with the Yankee Fleet and we highly recommend them for fishing or whale watching!
