Cape Ann Whale Watch is by far the best! After going whale watching in New England for more than a decade, we have found them to be consistently the happiest, hardest-working, and most experienced group of people that we have known. We have tried others, but now go out exclusively with Cape Ann. They are topnotch!

These people love what they're doing--from the friendly folks in the ticket office/gift shop, to the enthusiastic and knowledgeable naturalists and educators.

Cape Ann Whale Watch is the best company I've gone out with in my more than 100 whale watches. Their boat is roomy and fast , and the captains are excellent at finding whales and respecting them once they find them. On the ride out to find the whales, the educators walk around the boat to talk to people about where the boat is heading, what you're likely to see and to share information about the whales--and on lucky trips, dolphins!

If you get a chance, try the private whale watch on the smaller boat. It's a unique way to get an even closer encounter with the whales.

Don't miss an opportunity to share this experience with family and friends. The Gloucester area is also a great vacation destination, from the working harbor to the artist shops and restaurants.

We had a great time last year and are planning on making it a yearly outing. Cape Ann runs a smooth operation. Clean boat, friendly staff, good snack bar. We saw plenty of whales, porpoises, and even a rare sea turtle. And birds... so many birds so far from land!
