This place hasn't been redone in 40 years. We were snowed by the location. The carpet is essentially 40 year old astroturf. The walls are filthy. We killed ants in the bathroom, and found dead bugs in the tub. The rooms are ROASTING hot, in the 90s, there is no a/c, there is no breeze off the water like there is in all the other hotels off Bass Rocks - and this one's right on the beach, so there is no excuse! Our room had no place to sit outside of it (unless you wanted to sit in front of the trash) and the beds were so soft, you could bounce to the ceiling just sitting on them. I heard one person say their room was 95 degrees and that their elderly mother couldn't breathe. Oh, and it was 77 degrees out when we got here, and then about 60 at night. This was for $185 a night, mind you - a lot for a dump.
Not to mention that there are no blinds over the windows in the doors.....really nice for getting dressed, or having privacy.....perverts must own this place.
Oh, and if you think you're going to relax? Forget it. It's kiddie city. No quiet until they're in bed, and then it's too dark to read your book.
Run away, run away....
