The reservation process could have been friendlier. The "attitude" began with parking. When I pointed to a parking lot and told the valet that I wanted to park my car due to a mechanical problem, he stated in an demeaning tone, "If you park there we'll block you in." The waiter was next. He told us, "With the menu, what you see is what you get. No changes unless you have an allergy." Then, we overheard an conversation with the next table. They had a Groupon certificate and the waiter said that it had expired two weeks earlier. One of the women at the table stated to the waiter that it was like a "gift card" and it could not expire that quickly. The waiter had little interest in discussing it and brought the manager to the table. It was clear that the manager did not want to discuss it; he swiftly refused to accept it and left. After he left the customers told the waiter, "We'll never come back." We asked them about it and learned that the manager had rejected a measly $25. The waiter and manager acted as if they were royalty dealing with commoners. The food, however, was good. We have eaten at other restaurants in Franklin for more than 30 years, but we have never seen such a lousy attitude.
