“Big fan of the upstairs at Incontro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2012

Really enjoy the upstairs bar at Incontro. Nice atmosphere, big leather seats, post and beam ceiling, and an upscale place to have a drink and some dinner.

“Still trying to find a parking spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2011

The night started off on a down note with not a parking space to be found. We parked across the street and dodged traffic. The decour here was very nice at the holidays. We were seated promptly at a large booth away from the main dining room that was packed and loud. Our server worked hard and kept our glasses filled to the brim with expensive wine (our choice). I like that he brought the bottle of wine to the table to pour a glass. The food was ok, nothing memorable. We expected so much more. The cold eggplant appitizer was unfortunate, but staff did the right thing comping my lover's next glass of wine. We sent the eggplant back and it returned sizzling hot in a few minutes. The main dinner choices were nothing special, but Incontro deserves a "very good" rating because of the ambiance, decour and service. I will give it another try and you should too.

“Great Bar selection and even small dishes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2011

If you are not in the mood for a full sit down menue - its great to sit upstairs, what TV or the billard, have a drink and a burger. Service and quality is great - meat is quite exceptional.

“Good food, lousy attitude”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2011

The reservation process could have been friendlier. The "attitude" began with parking. When I pointed to a parking lot and told the valet that I wanted to park my car due to a mechanical problem, he stated in an demeaning tone, "If you park there we'll block you in." The waiter was next. He told us, "With the menu, what you see is what you get. No changes unless you have an allergy." Then, we overheard an conversation with the next table. They had a Groupon certificate and the waiter said that it had expired two weeks earlier. One of the women at the table stated to the waiter that it was like a "gift card" and it could not expire that quickly. The waiter had little interest in discussing it and brought the manager to the table. It was clear that the manager did not want to discuss it; he swiftly refused to accept it and left. After he left the customers told the waiter, "We'll never come back." We asked them about it and learned that the manager had rejected a measly $25. The waiter and manager acted as if they were royalty dealing with commoners. The food, however, was good. We have eaten at other restaurants in Franklin for more than 30 years, but we have never seen such a lousy attitude.

A high class steak eatery with plenty of interesting meals. Not the cheapest, but good staff and good food
