“Great Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed here for one night (2 adults and 2 kids) and opted for the 'Splash Package' that entitled us to 1 medium pizza, 1 pitcher of soda and wifi. We had a King bed and sofa bed, I am not sure if it was because our room was on the corner or not, but it was huge! Really, one of the largest hotel rooms I have been in, bathroom was quite large as well. Only 'negatives' are that the "pitcher of soda" was 3 cans, no included breakfast, and no mini fridge in room. But, a very good value. Very nice facilities, my daughter loved that it looks like a castle from the outside, pool was great. Will stay again.

Spent one night here. Hotel room was large and clean. Bathroom could use updates. Our tub was missing the cover for the faucet and our counter top by the sink was not level, so water kept running on the floor. Parking was free. There was some convention going on at the same time we were there and the lot was almost full. We had to drive around a while to find a spot and then walk a ways to get to the entrance. Overall I would stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights with the family. The rooms are average, the property is somewhat old. BUT the price is excellent, we ended up getting 2 adjoining rooms (because we could easily afford it!) for us and 2 kids. Parking is free. The hotel is located right off the 128 highway, so easy access to where ever you want to go. Will definitely stay here again.

This hotel looks like a giant castle on the outside and has a warm and inviting lobby with several fireplaces.

With the large conference space the hotel is very busy.

Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Try getting a room on the 6th floor with Starwood Points - they have a comp room with free snacks and drinks for Starwood Point members. Nice perk!

*There for a conference
*Desk staff bubbly and pleasant
*Houskeeping staff were the best part of location including the Housekeeping Manager / Director
*Elevators - all of them - abysmal in speed
*Bar - unresponsive and not "on the ball"
*Facilities - in general clean
*Conference Serviced - pleasant
*Banquet Staff - older lot seemed bored with their job and as SLOOOOWWWWW as molasses
while younger staff more on the move - including bars - hotel left a lot of $$ on the table with inadequate bar staff the first hour of each bar event --- people just walked away
*Banquet Food - to echo a reviewer below - chicken was absolutely, positively dreadful on all occassions --- other food OK albeit average
*Parking ample
*Lobby inviting
*and WHY are stairwells so badly marked for people to use them? When time is limited for a work-out people often like to use stairs repeted times - no sineage at all to the stairs.
*Check in and out smooth
*Would probably use the Westin nearby or other hotel before using this one if had the choice
***Could ramp up the service to WOW -- less than WOW at present.

Rarely have I stayed at a property where the staff, up to and including management level, have not only been indifferent to safety matters, but point blank lied to me in regards to same. It should not take 26 hours and THREE requests to address a matter that could result in an injury and a lawsuit. I do hope the GM and the owners take this review with the seriousness which it is intended because the staff performance in this regard was nothing short of appalling.

Now that is out of the way. The property is not bad all in all. Its a little on the dated side and as a conference center is always busy but rooms are clean and well furnished and comfortable. The bar and lobby area are warm and attractive with their fireplaces.

The two big challenges for this property, besides callous and indifferent staff, are a tricky location for getting into. Hint: if you are headed east on Route 9 turn left at the light and snake behind the office buildings to avoid a lengthy u-turn detour. Also, the elevators are abysmally slow (both banks that is) and for some curious reason the stair access is hidden behind a staff only door.

Event bars are manned typically by one person performing slowly and lines could be seen waiting for a drink for 10-15 minutes. Note to management: staff the bars better and you'd make a lot more money. This perception may be unfair, but the sluggish performance suggested all the stereotypes of unionized and uncaring facilities.

Lastly, AVOID THE CHICKEN UNLESS YOU ENJOY VULCANIZED HOCKEY PUCK SUBSTITUTES. Really, the chicken, even by the laughably low standards of banquet meals, was simply awful and inedible.

Room Tip: Try to negotiate to get on the SPG floor where the rooms are slightly larger and there are fewer fam...

Needed a quick one night stay for a conference I was heading to in Boston the following day. Staff was very friendly and Rachael went out of her way to make me feel welcome. Room was tidy and more than met expectations. Will be considering the hotel again when traveling to the area.
