“Not Up To Standards”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Came here for a conference. Reserved the club floor. Front desk staff were efficient and unfriendly. Elevators are a proplem. Place needs a rehab. Room was clean but very old. Bathroon was extremely small. Club lounge needs more choices. Won't stay here again.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else. Plenty of choices close by.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay. During your most recent stay in November of 2012, the hotel had not yet started the rooms renovation of the facility. In addition the lobby guest elevators were out of service for the upgrades and renovation. I apologize for the problems this amy ahve caused during your stay. We continue to work towards our goal of making the hotel the destination hotel for guest's in the Metro West market.
In addition I apologize for the delay in responding to your post. Again thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and we are sorry about the issues that you have described.

Respectfully,

“No room at the inn”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

I booked a room at the Sheraton Framingham for October 20. When I arrived at 11:30 pm, tired after a long drive, I was told that they were overbooked and did not have a room for me and my daughters. The last thing I wanted to do at that point was to put my luggage back in the car and go somewhere else. My daughter was scheduled to row in the Head of the Charles Regatta the next day. The hotel sent us on a complicated 5 mile drive on back roads to Northeastern University's conference center in Ashland, MA. The one plus (and the reason I didn't rate it as terrible) is that the Sheraton covered the cost of the room at the conference center. I would rather have paid for my own room and gotten to bed at a more reasonable hour.

On behalf of the entire team at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel I would like to apologize for your issues you described in your review. Due the heavy demand created by the regatta, coupled with a group that was unable to depart, we did not have a room ready for you.
My staff and I are truly sorry for the relocation to another property.
If you were to return to the area next year for the regatta, please contact me directly as the hotel would be honored to serve you as my guest.

Again I apologize for the issue and look to serve you in 2013.

“If you are traveling for hockey stay at Res. Inn or Courtyard”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

First off, this hotel is complicated to get into and out of. There aren't any real restaurants around the immediate area and it was 20-30 minutes of back roads to get to the rink/arena. Inside the hotel was mediocre at best. The elevators weren't working on the main floor and the ones that were working took FOREVER. No coffee in the lobby on the weekends. The sprinkler in the bathroom appeared to be removed and had what appeared to be tissue stuck in the hole. It was about $15 more to stay directly across the New England sports center at the Res. Inn and you get continental breakfast. Below expectations. Bed was nice, room seemed to be clean. Decent last resort.

Thank you for taking the time from you busy schedule to review your recent stay while in town for a tournament. We have been undergoing renovations for most of 2012 and will conntinue to re-do and upgrade the hotel. Our new restaurant and lounge will be opening in March of 2013, and we feel that it, along with our new breakfast restaurant will address our guests needs. We have completely redone the elevators in the looby and they will be back on-line on Dcember 27th of this year. We know that you and your team have other choices when in town, and we are addressing the needs of our guest in order to make this hotel the choice when in town for a tournament.

Again thank you for reviewing our hotel, and we look forward to serving you in 2013.

“Reviews are right, its a poor choice and watch out for those accidentals!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

I should have known the minute I checked into this place, that it needs an overhaul. The desk clerk asked me for a credit card to charge my accidentals. Yep...I knew I had to watch out after that. And yes, the elevators. Two of four were out of order both days and the hotel was full of conference people so I had to plan an extra ten minutes for coming and going.
The room was spacious but obviously the renovations have not gotten to furniture. The veneer on the desk was all cracked and buckled, there was a cigarette burn in the easy chair. Ugh. And there was a big glob of something caked onto the bathroom door...heaven knows how long. At this point, Motel 6 would have been a better choice.
But the pool was great...divided into lanes for lap swimmers and free of kids at dinnertime. Plenty of hot water in the locker room showers and no funky smells. i did not use the exercise equipment but there was enough for an army.
I may come here again, for the pool, but only after they renovate. I will also call first to see if the elevators have finally been fixed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from I 90. You will hear it even from the back of the hotel until they replace t...

.Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel after your recent stay. During your stay the guest elevators were undergoing replacement. We apologize for the inconvenience. Only a small fraction of rooms at this point have been redone, as week look to complete the renovation by February of 2013. When complete the hotel will have all new guest rooms, restaurant and lounge along with significant building mechanical system upgrades. We look to finish replacing the elevators within the next three weeks, which will positively impact future guest stays.
Again thank you for taking the time to review our hotel, and we look forward to you staying with us once the renovation is complete

“Tired so-so property”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

I had the pleasure of a business trip to the Framingham area, so I picked the Sheraton figuring that the property would be pleasant. Never assume. This property is old, tired and in need of many repairs. Elevators are old and slow and in fact 1-2 were out of service, making busy morning exits to the parking lot a laborious process. Stairwells were dingy as well. Room was worn and fixtures in need of repair, including broken bath room faucet. Thankfully the bed was comfortable and clean. Positive was that the Sheraton did have a decent sized swimming pool that was big enough to swim laps. Interesting clientele, since on two nights I could smell marijuana smoke coming into my room.

Property needs a lot of repair and modernizing, including elevators. For the price, I cannot recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. As you may have noted, considerable work is being done to modernize the property and bring it up to the standards travelers now demand. This includes new elevators, guest rooms, ballroom, lobby and restaurant and lounge. This work is anticipated to be complete in February of 2013, with the new elevators completed the week of November 20th, 2012. We apologize that we were not able to have you stay in one of our recently renovated guest rooms, as of October 31st, 2012 only a small portion have been completed. The hotel has been a landmark in the area for over 35 years; we look to continue the tradition of outstanding service and accommodations for many more years to come.
