“Beautiful place to get away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

We purchased a Groupon for this hotel and cant even express how amazing our stay was! We bought a standard room and because it was our anniversary the amazing staff at the front desk upgraded us to a water view room for only a few dollars more! The beach is absolutely beautiful, you will feel like you are on an island! Our room was amazing, very clean!!! The hotel is a bit out of our price range during the peak season but we will definitely be back during the off season. Thank you again for the amazing stay!

Room Tip: Standard rooms do not have a view of the beach

This hotel has exceeded our expectations for an off season girls getaway!
Several rooms with ocean views and balconies! In mid-April there were many families enjoying school vacation getaways. With an indoor pool and plenty of beach space, the kids looked to be enjoying family time! A reliable source reported that in summer they will have drink and food service on the beach. This destination is also a popular romantic getaway and wedding venue for summertime brides! Falmouth, Massachusetts is a cozy Cape Cod town and with ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket you will have many options to explore the Cape Cod seashore!

Room Tip: Beach front first floor would be ideal, but second floor beach front did not disappoint! Balcony a m...

Even at a great groupon rate this hotel is not worth it. Mattress quality was poor, visibly sagging and sheets on one bed were put on incorrectly so we had to remake the bed ourselves. Air conditioning unit was noisy. The ultimate was eating at Red's Restaurant. Glaring sun in our eyes and no shades to at least enjoy the view. Chicken tenders arrived uncooked in the middle. Menu choices limited and overpriced. Before you book with groupon, check out other lodging options. I'm sure we would have been able to find another place at the same rate for off season. Hotels should remember that guests try out hotels during the off season to see if they are worth booking during peak season. Sorry, but this is not one of the good ones.

Thank you for your recent post about your experience at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel on Tripadvisor. I know that our Director of Food and Beverage, Bill Strickland, has been in communication with you regarding your experience based on the guest comment card you completed. We are both disappointed that your experience in Red’s was less than stellar. There is not much we can do about the sun shining – I do wish you had asked to be moved.

I agree that the manager should have come to speak with you, though I am pleased that the server took it upon herself to remove the cost of the chicken wings from your bill. Our staff is trained to take initiative to rectify guest concerns. Bill has connected with our kitchen to ensure the highest quality is always presented to our guests.

I do hope you will allow us another opportunity to serve you and to change your opinion of our hotel. Please be in touch with Bill or me so we can ensure that your next experience meets your expectations and ours.

Kind Regards,

Clark Guinn

A great place to have your wedding reception as well as vacation. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. The bar is relaxing with great drinks and service. The indoor & outdoor pool are well designed. In addition, The workout room overlooking the indoor pool was well equipped. The downtown is full of small and intimate restaurants.

Stayed in a standard room overlooking a parking lot, but the room was spacious, clean and comfortable (except the bed pillows are too small and uncomfortable although the bed was fine.) Nice touches: fluffy towels, and refrigerator, wi-fi included in price. Slightly surprised to learn that the hotel just underwent a multimillion dollar renovation since the shower head and furniture was dated (but functional.) The renovations are clearly evident in the public areas: the lobby, dining rooms, restaurant are all inviting. Although I didn't see/use the indoor pool, friends told me it was a great space, too. I cannot praise the staff enough! Each one was ready to assist promptly whenever needed, was welcoming, and it seemed that each person sincerely wanted guests to be happy and enjoy their stays/experience. How refreshing! As others have mentioned, the hotel is ocean-front and, while every room does not face the ocean, the view is a short walk for those folks. We saw a couple of magnificent sunsets. I look forward to a return visit.

We were so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, and that you found the public areas to be inviting. We continually try to improve the property and are fortunate to have such a beautiful location on Old Silver Beach. We pride ourselves on guest satisfaction so were especially pleased to hear that the staff was welcoming and met your every need. We look forward to your visit with us again!

We stayed in a fireplace/king room that is in the block next to the road. The room was spacious and clean (except that the fridge had not been cleaned out). The décor is nice. One thing, the heat is a forced air unit in the wall. Unless you propped the bathroom door open there was no heat in there and it was freezing. We had a problem getting the gas fireplace to work but they sent someone from maintenance literally in 5 minutes. Impressed!

The staff were great. We had planned ahead to have a birthday banner hung in the room for my husband's birthday. They were very accommodating. HUGE thanks to Michael and Jameson who set it up - hubby was impressed!!

We enjoyed the pool but there is a new? law in Mass that kids under 16 can't go in the hot tub so the kids were bummed. We ordered sandwiches from Red's and they delivered to the pool. The turkey club was great and cheap (really good sweet potato fries!!).

The only downside the whole time was our meal on Saturday night, at Red's. First, the location is amazing, right on the ocean. We watched the sunset while we ate. We sat in the 'outside' room but it's covered and has plastic windows. It was pretty cold but the view made up for it. You could hear the waves washing up on the shore. The service was terribly slow, I hate to say it. We had to ask for bread plates, water, our plates to be cleared (we sat 20 minutes with our dirty plates), a pen to write the bill lol... the waitress was never anywhere to be seen. Perhaps an understaffing issue but it took 1.5 hours to eat one course and soup with our kids. They did help us with a dessert for hubby's bday which was great.

All in all, we'll definitely return. We'll probably eat elsewhere next time!

We went to the Easter brunch at the Sea Crest and were disappointed. For $47.00 a plate, we anticipated that the service would be top notch, as it had been last year. We were not offered water and finally had to ask for it about half way through the meal. The waitress did not clear our plates in between courses and we finally ended up doing so ourselves, as did several of the other tables around us. 3/4 of the way through the meal, the waitress finally checked in on us and I requested a refill on my water. It took 15 minutes or more to get it and again, she did not clear the plates after filling the water. There were multiple dirty tables and the tray stand next to us was overflowing (with the dirty dishes WE had out there). We were not offered coffee or juice either during or after the meal. Paying the check was another lengthy endeavor. The food was decent, thought nothing special and did not include a complimentary mimosa. At almost $200.00 for brunch for 3 with one drink, and lacking service, we will not be returning.
