My three sisters and I stayed at the Inn for our visit to Cape Cod. The rooms were nicely decorated and well taken care of. The breakfasts were unbelievably good (especially the granola!!) and the view across the street of the ocean can't be beat. Jan & Howard were extremely accomodating and offered suggestions when asked. I have stayed at B & B's on both the east and west coast and can easily say this is the best I have stayed at in terms of view, rooms and food.

We stayed here on the last few days of our tour of New England and it was my husbands 40th Birthday while we were there. The owners were so helpful even before we arrived trying to help me plan a surprise for his birthday and when we got there we were made to feel so special. Hospiality 10/10.

The room was beautifull but I was gald we were on the upper floor as the ground floor room near the sitting area may have been noisey. The views were lovely and the gorgeous breakfast could be had in the dining room, deck or even in bed.

The inn is well worth a vist and there are a few eating places within walking distance but the centre of the town is a short taxi ride way. Fab Italian restaurant in town- pesto to die for!!.

The highlight of our trip was supposed to be a good friend's 50th birthday party, but to our surpise, the highlight turned out to be this adorable inn. I stumbled upon this inn on the internet. The photos looked good, it was near the birthday party, it looked clean and the innkeeper responded to my initial inquiry email within an hour. The surprise came when we stepped on to the property. This is not your typical inn. No "Grandma's Attic" gingham or chintz. This is 'Pottery Barn meets GQ.' Though it is not highlighted on their website, they are only a one minute walk to a gorgeous beach and a ten minute stroll to the big ferry that takes you to Martha's Vineyard. Jan and Howard, the innkeepers, bent over backwards to accomodate us. They served us breakfast on the front deck overlooking the water, they shared their five star recipes and Jan even went so far as walking with our husbands, who are avid cyclists, to the local bike store for spare inner tubes in preparation for a biking day on Martha's Vineyard (biking for the boys, shopping for the girls.)
Wonderful four days. We'll be going back.

The Inn on the Sound marked a memorable end to our New England honeymoon. The property is immaculately clean with beautiful decor, lovely breakfasts and perfect views. Our room was large and comfortable with a great balcony/deck overlooking the seafront. The area was peaceful with easy access to the adjacent beach.

Janet and Howard were great hosts. Friendly, thoughtful and non-intrusive. Nothing seemed too much for them - whether it was giving advice about where to go or making reservations for guests at local restaurants. They seemed genuinely interested in making sure their guests were looked after but were also very easy going - you could eat breakfast on the deck, on your balcony, in the breakfast room or in your room - whatever you felt like!

We felt truly spoiled and wouldn't hesitate in recommending the B&B to our friends and family. From speaking to other guests, we know they shared our views.

I was looking for a very special place to celebrate a few milestones with my parents...Mother's Day, my mom's 85th birthday and a special homecoming for my parents. They had lived on the Cape for 20 years and left to be closer to family about 5 years ago. They missed the Cape dearly! Choosing The Inn on the Sound was the perfect way to bring my parents back to the area they loved. My mother is a perfectionist and for her to say, "This is the cleanest place I've ever seen!" is quite a statement. My father, who is 88 years young, is a finicky eater and by the end of our stay, he had fallen in love with papaya!!! Janet and Howard are so good at those details that make you feel important...when we were returning from my mom's birthday celebration, we were met at the door with a bottle of champage, 3 champage flutes and some Cape Cod nibbles. What a way to make you feel special! The rooms at the Inn are spacious and exquisitely decorated. Janet and Howard were always willing to share paint colors, ideas on decorating and places to shop. We also wondered what "gourmet breakfast" meant...well, at the Inn,
it means...fresh fruit and orange juice, homemade granola, melt-in-your-mouth croissants with homemade preserves, terrific coffee and a daily -changing hot entree. Our two upstairs rooms (with porches) overlooked the ocean and we would spend time each day inhaling the refreshing Cape Cod air.
As we left the Inn to return home, I will never forget my mom's parting word to Janet and Howard..."PERFECTION"...I will ditto that.
