We were lucky. We had a wonderful meal (Great Veal Picatta and Pesto Tortillini). Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Maybe they read the earlier reviews here about bad service. Our server went above and beyond most servers. She was terrific.

I dined here and had a great dinner. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant-the food was fresh and well prepared,and our wine choice (recommended by our waitress) complemented our meal very well.My coworkers food allergy was accommodated as well, which was a nice surprise.Generally, we (5 of us) had an enjoyable meal.My one complaint was that the tall brunette woman hostess was really stressed and rude to the table who were waiting before us(they left)and the interaction between her and some other tables was inappropriate-she spoke to a table to my right extensively about her weight problem(strange)and they were a little put off-she didn't notice their discomfort (nor ours) -The wait was a little long,(the pleasant cocktail waitress brought us a drink) but that is to be expected on a busy weekend. The food and service was worth the wait of 45 minutes, but I'd rather not be subjected to a weary unprofessional hostess-maybe the manager wasn't aware of this woman's apparentlack of restaurant experience? I would have given another star to my review-Otherwise, the atmosphere was pretty -Old World Italy, with interesting finish on the walls and ornate decor.The next time in Falmouth I will probably try eating there again-maybe she won't be working!

Everyone raves about La Cucina, but the two times we went there, we were disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and the waitstaff pleasant, but the food quality is only a notch above chain level, and considerably overpriced. Actually, as another reviewer mentioned, if your measurement was price per pound, it would be a different story, because the portions are appropriate for 3-4 people, not 1. So if you feel like paying $16 for a huge plate of spaghetti with garlic & olive oil and $6 for a bottle of sparkling water, head on over. Otherwise, save your $$ for a trip to Atwell's Ave in Providence or Hanover St in Boston.

I have had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant many times through the year and have always found it to be a wonderful dining experience. The ambiance is great, the waitstaff courteous, prompt, and generally knowledgeable, and the food has always been outstanding (Lobster bisque is wonderful and I really like their Chicken Marsala). The wine selection is good (could improve with some stronger selections). I have brought many family members and friends to this restaurant and they have all loved it.
