We have just returned from our first ever visit to the USA. We had a three week itinerary which took us to a great variety of locations. We needed to spend some time exploring Cape Cod and having trawled the internet, we settled on a booking to stay at Baileys by the Sea. We booked in the early part of 2006 for our stay in October for three nights. The place has its own website.

We arrived on an uncharacteristically squally, rainy day having driven from Vermont and we were warmly greeted by our hostess Liz who ushered us in from the storm and put us at ease straight away with her warm and friendly manner.

Baileys by the sea is actually a good sized and beautifully presented family home which is sited right by the sea with only the quiet coast road to separate it from the beach. The house is superbly equipped and scrupulously clean and is a credit to Liz, her husband Jerry and the rest of her team.

It is located in the pleasant and attractive Falmouth heights area and is convenient for beaches, the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and nearby good selection of restaurants etc

As a guest at Baileys, you feel just like one of the family. Liz looks after her guests so well and ensures that you make the very best of your stay. As well as providing a very tasty and plentiful breakfast, there also a supply of cakes and biscuits for afternoon tea. Liz has a special way of making you feel like one of the family, giving you all the attention you need whilst at the same time remaining unobtrusive.

At Baileys you arrive as a guest but leave as a friend. Be assured, when looking for someone to stay in the area, there really is no need to look any further than Baileys by the sea.

A truly wonderful b&b, with a most charming, helpful hostess. The room was beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean, and the breakfasts were amazing, so well thought out.

The views from this gorgeous house are great, right out to Marthas Vineyard, lovely to relax looking out to sea, glass of wine in hand (provided!)

My husband and i stayed at Baileys Inn by the Sea in early sept.It was our first trip to Cape Cod and boy did we love it!The Inn is absolutely gorgeous and Liz was the best at everything;from advice on where to eat or where to play golf to her fabulous breakfast each morning.there is no better view of the ocean and Martha's vineyard than from the Baileys wrap around porch.we stayed in the Tokyo room and it could not have been any better than that!
Don't miss dinner at Roo Bar in Falmouth;and drinks at Liam Maguires.We Can't wait to go back.
