“Good Mexican”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Went here over the summer time...drinks and bartenders were great. Food was very good. Get the Guac they make it right in front of you. Busy place so get there early or expect to wait a little bit. Above average Mexican food, I would definitely go back

“best Mexican on Cape Cod”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

It is hard to find decent Mexican food on the East Coast but this makes the cut. We started with cucumber and jalepeno margarita which was delicious and refreshing with a hint of spice. We had four kinds of enchiladas and all were good. One person had chorizo tacos and thought they were great. The refried beans and rice were just okay.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is my favorite restaurant in Falmouth. My husband says it is the best salmon he has had anywhere. I love the chicken flautas and the carne asada is yummy. The bartenders are very nice and the margaritias are heavenly. The wait staff is always smiling and friendly. Get the guac made tableside--we went with friends who don't like cilantro, and it was no problemo to make it up half with and half without the (to my mind) tasty herb! The restaurant managment is top notch. The decor is trendy Mexican. Prices are a bit higher than your run of the mill Mexican joint, but then so is the quality of the meal you will enjoy!! Well worth a visit--but hey, leave room for the locals (who keep busineses like this going in the wintertime) in the summertime!!

“Amazing cocktails”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013 via mobile

I went with two friends to Anejo this past Saturday. We arrived early, around 5:00, and were glad we did because it started to get busy quickly. It's not a very big restaurant, so I can imagine there can be a wait on weekend nights even during the off season. But, having to sit at the bar and sip a fabulous cocktail while waiting wouldn't be a travesty.

Our waitress was extremely well informed about both the food and the tequilas. She was friendly and patient. We started with Mango Caliente margaritas and a raspberry mojito. The margaritas were the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The mojito was refreshing. Our waitress told us that all the mixes for the drinks were made in house and it certainly tasted that way. We ordered Queso fundido anejo for an appetizer - a cauldron of steaming cheese, chorizo, and grilled polano peppers and onions, served with flour tortillas. Absolutely delicious! The quahog replenish sounded like a really interesting combination, but the cornbread they were stuffed with was too sweet and really threw off the balance of seafood, smokey, and spicy.

I ordered the special : duck carnitas. They were good but nothing "special". My friends ordered: casa salad, lobster Mac and cheese, and chicken tacos. The salad had an interesting mix of TexMex ingredients: grilled corn, black beans, and oven roasted tomatoes, with some non-traditional ingredients such as green apple and blue cheese. The strange combination really worked, the oven roasted tomatoes were especially delicious. The lobster M&C was really good. Nice chunks of lobster, chorizo, and creamy without being overly gloppy with cheese. I also had a paradiso marguerite made with passion fruit juice and I ased for it to be a little spicy. So yummy. I can't wait to go back to Anejo to try more of the menu.
