“Very good - not great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

Went there Saturday 10/19. No reservations accepted - but acceptable wait (usual restaurant trick of saying it will be an hour and was shorter).. No bar or cocktail lounge so the before dinner drinks were on benches with no place to put the drinks so a tad awkward. Drinks were made well with limited choices available. No real complaints about the dinner but the portions were skimpy! Now don't get me wrong, I understand small portions but these were minuscule - best parts were flavor infused polenta and risotto and there were scant portions. we observed that some tables received bread but we did not. Not normally an issue but with the scant portions we walked away hungry. We ordered expensive wine and they had 150 yo Grand Marnier which drove our bill up - but walked away with an empty feeling. Waiter not once refreshed our wine glasses (they had one of my favorites which was a $70 bottle - would have expected a modicum of attention). So the bottom line is I would go again, be more demanding and .expect an excellent meal with very small portions. (please excuse my redundancy woth te word scant but it is the descriptor that most comes to mind) Cheers

“Great place for a special night out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

An elegant boutique sized restaurant. One of the rare four star restaurants on Cape Cod. The service was discrete yet attentive. Food was superb. Nice choice of single malt Scotches.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Stopped in while staying at the Inn on the Square. It is directly across the street from the Inn. The Chef's specials were wonderful. In short, if you are visiting Falmouth, I would highly suggest making reservations at this restaurant.

“The Glass Onion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

Recommended by our inkeepers at The Captain's Manor Inn as the best restaurant in Falmouth. They were absolutely right. Phenomenal scallop dish; amazing salmon special and sweet succulant swordfish. Obviously seafood should be the order of the day and TGO infused the dishes with levels of subtle tastes never overpowering alwazys complementing the freshest sea creature. I bet this place ids impossible to get in during season. Also the service was super professional and friendly often a problem in beach towns and frankly most restaurants.

“Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Need I say more? Food was superb, as was the atmosphere of the place. We'd definitely go back - wine selection was good and well priced. Limited menu, but I prefer that. I highly recommend the seared sea scallops - my boyfriend had the duck pate and loved it.
