“A very pleasant experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

The Glass Onion was recommended as a restaurant to try while visiting locally. We were not disappointed, rather we were taken with the quality of the food, and friendly approach of the staff. We did n't have to wait for a table nor did we have to wait long to be attended to, order taken and the spacing between courses just right. It may be regarded as pricey, however when you get perfectly presented and cooked food through three courses + excellent beverages, you receive value! The ambience was excellent it's such a shame this restaurant is not nearer to where we live. Australia. People on the Cape and in Falmouth are fortunate to have such a gem so close whether a special occasion or an intimate meal for two, the menu should not disappoint.

“Just lovely...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Where to begin. The food, the staff, especially Scott, the ambience just about everything was amazing this evening for dinner. We would certainly recommend this restaurant. Thank you all at The Glass Onion for making us feel very special.

“We like to come back and to try more on their menue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

To be #1 rated for Falmouth is promising a lot to guest that dont have a chance to test other places. We enjoyed our evening very much ( and I hope the extra shoot of gin in my gin tonic was not the the reason ). The ambiance and restaurant layout is great and sofisticated as is the personnel. The filet mignon ( recommendation) was cooked to perfection for my wife and son and of highest quality meat. My goose liver pate( in a little glass jar) was very original but the portion was just too large for such delicate but heavy food.My boneless ribs were great as the vine selection and our choice. The creme brulee did not totally satisfy. I dont take desserts usually but took a flamboise as they did not have calvados . Go and try yourselve. Very good value for money

“A Mixed Bag”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013 via mobile

Nice atmosphere. B+ food but a creative menu. One of those places where they serve at Their pace, which may be 2.5 hours. Waiter was rather unapologetic. To quote "This isn't fast food". A little pricey for that customer is second mindset

“Great, fabulous, mouthwatering food... but buy some window shades”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

I've been to the restaurant no less than 4 times but I can't seem to stress enough to the owners and wait staff that the sun shining directly into your face while trying to talk with your other guests at your table isn't much fun at all. My wife put on her sun glasses for no less than 40 minutes. While it looked a bit funny, it was no joke as she was getting a headache. When we told the waitstaff she said, "Its not that bad"...

Simple fix: Either a valance or some retractable shades would make the restaurant a 5-star restaurant.

Can't say enough about the food. From the fish to the steak all was cooked perfectly! The dishes were excellent and served nice and hot. If you like chocolate ice cream, get it for desert. I was told this past weekend by the waitstaff its made on-premises.
