My husband and I have stayed at Mostly Hall several times since the present owners. Charlene and Rene acquired the property some 3 years or so ago. Each visit is more pleasant than the last. They have done much to make what was a beautiful B&B into a truly magnificent home that they are willing to share with others.
Rene and Charlene are very knowledgeable about they area and went out of they way to make each of our stays a memorable one, the breakfast are first rate. I really liked the way they asked about our food preferences. The Maple Egg Cups and Stuffed French Toast is to die for! Many of the recipes are in their cookbook.
The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed with a fireplace., TV and snuggly robes. We would recommend staying at Mostly Hall to any or our friends,

My wife and I have stayed at six B&B's over the years, including four in Falmouth, and this one tops our list! The location is awesome, with a 2 minute walk to the shops and restaurants on main street. The house itself is stunning and absolutely gorgeous. A southern plantation style with high ceilings that is impecabbly maintained, you would think it was built yesterday. The decorations, the furniture, the murals on the walls, the marble fireplace, the canopy beds - feels like you are walking into the pages of a magazine. It actually reminded us somewhat of the mansions in Newport RI. The place was as clean as a whistle without a spec of dust or dirt anywhere to be found. The rooms have nice big windows and a sitting area. Bathroom was tiled and very clean, albeit on the small side (no tub). The owners were warm and welcoming and very friendly! It truly felt like we were special guests. Freshly baked snacks were awaiting us in the afternoon, with 24 hour coffee, tea made to order. One day it rained so the owners even called around for us and came up with a list of things we could do for the day. Breakfast was eggs benedict (wow) along with a great selection of bagels, fresh baked bannana nut muffins, fresh fruit and juices, fresh granola, and more. The owners even offered to prepare additional eggs any way we desired. They were flexible and very accomodating. We didn't want to leave. As for value, we found their prices to be more than reasonable. You get a lot of value for the money. Stay here…you won't regret it.

I don't usually write reviews, but after seeing the previous two posts for Mostly Hall, I had to try to give a more balanced viewpoint.

We visited Wood's Hole as part of a foilage tour with our friends from Germany. Mostly Hall added greatly to our time at Cape Cod. First of all it has a great location- turn left to the Shining Sea bikepath which leads to the Nobska Lighthouse and trip along the shoreline, turn right to a short walk into downtown Falmouth. The inn is an old plantation style home with beautiful verandas, gardens and spacious common quarters. The innkeepers welcomed us to their home and were warm and friendly. They left lemonade and fresh baked cookies for us to find when we returned from a late afternoon bikeride and offered excellent advice on dining in town (they recommended La Calchina del Mar two blocks from them-delicious!). The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I note that a previous visitor thought the showers were small- I'm six feet two inches, 230 lbs and I had not problems. One of my favorite things about Mostly Hall was the common spaces and the freedom that guests have to "make themselves at home". The innkeepers live underneath the inn and the guests have the top three floors to themselves. There is a large dining area and a very comfortable living room as well as verandas and beautiful gardens that we could take advantage of after our forays to Woods Hole and Martha Vineyard. The innkeepers were happy to adjust the breakfast time for us when we needed to make an early ferry to MV. Even after we checked out, they offered to let us use one of the rooms to shower in when we returned from a long bike trip and were preparing to take our friends to the airport. Overall, we had a great time in a memorable inn. I've done quite a bit of traveling in my life, have stayed in scores of hotels, Inns, B&Bs and resorts. This was one of the best inns I've ever had the pleasure to visit, it is in a wonderful area- we will be returning.

“Mostly Terrible!”

Beware of the extremely small shower stalls. My husband who is 5'11'' and 160 lbs had to stand outside the shower stall to lather because he just did not have enough room. The inkeepers are intrusive and are sticklers when it comes to schedule. Breakfast is served at 9:00, and we were told that if we did not arrive by 9:15 when the warm dish ( scrambeled eggs) was served we would eat a cold breakfast. The bed linens were very worn and the pillows had a funky smell. The decor is ok, but overall a bad experience.

The shower stalls are of normal size. I never knew that 5'11'' 160 lbs was considered a large person!
Our sheets and pillows cases are of high stitch count and pillows are replaced on a regular basis.
The older sheets are donated to a charitable org. which only accepts usable linens.
We've never had a complaint prior to or after this guest!
Our breakfast is as posted on our web site, "served at 9am family style" and is quite extensive and is still very often going on at 10 am.
Again, we've never had a complaint prior to or after this guest!!!!!

I want to spare you an experience I had on my wedding day with MOSTLY HALL b & b in Falmouth. I booked the reservation in January and confirmed it within a few weeks. , When we arrived at 11:45 PM, we were chastised very forcefully by the innkeeper. He was extremely agitated. We were also told about their a $25/hour "late fee" for each hour after 6 . I coughed up the $150 extra charge (we were standing there in our gown and tux, and had no choice!) and the guy CONTINUED his tantrum, even tried handing my wife (in her wedding gown!) the suitcase our limo driver had dropped off earlier in the day (around 2 in the afternoon) . Overall a terrible end to what otherwise had been a beautiful wedding day.

AVOID MOSTLY HALL and steer your beloved guests away from it for their accommodation!

After begging us repeatedly for an 11am check-in, they arrived at 12:40 am, more than 13 hours later (not at 11:45 pm), and disrupted the entire Inn!
The suitcase which was dropped off earlier, was a nearly empty gym bag which I handed to him, not his bride!!
The "tantrum" was all on his part as evidenced on the security tape at the check-in desk, which he continued at a 7am check-out !!!
To quote one of our other guest the next morning," Good luck to that bride"!!!!
