This gem of victorian architecture is beautifully restored, furnnished, decorated and maintained, and is located about a 3 minute walk from the heart of Falmouth. The innkeepers are courteous and accommodating and pay exceptional attention to detail throughout the Inn, providing many amenities for guest comfort and convenience. The breakfast is delicious, varies daily and is beautifully presented. The afternoon through evening refreshment table is most welcome after a day of enjoying the beautiful Cape Cod area. The bed linens and towels are of highest quality, service was excellent, and the Inn is immaculately clean throughout. You will not be disappointed in your stay!

The Palmer House Inn is the nicest B&B in which we have ever stayed. The main house, over 100 years old, and the other buildings are lovely and in excellent condition with each room different from the others and a delight in terms of decoration, cleanliness and comfort. The full breakfast, each morning, was a real treat to which every person in our group of ten looked forward. Bill and Pat O'Connell are the essence of the very best in Innkeepers - friendly, helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area and its activities. These folks really understand how to take care of guests, and we are happy to recommend, without hesitation, The Palmer House Inn.

Arrived from England for 4 nights and were immediately impressed with the Inn and the attention to detail of our host and hostess. Our room was beautifully furnished and had everything we could possibly want. The breakfasts were excellent and when we asked we were given lots of help and advice as to where to eat our evening meal.

Four friends from England joined us at the Inn. We bought some bubbly to celebrate and were provided with wine glasses and ice, were able to sit on the front porch and enjoy their company - wonderful.

When we wanted to go on a bike ride Bill was able to give us 6 bikes with locks and helmets. He advised us on our trip and when we offered to pay, he said it was all part of the service!

We had a wonderful time in Cape Cod thanks to the Palmer House Inn. We would certainly recommend this Inn and will return if we ever get back to Cape Cod.

We just returned from a wonderful 2 day getaway at the Palmer House Inn. It was everything we expected and more! Our room - the Harriet Beecher Stowe Room in the Guest House - was lovely, and Bill and Pat O'Connell were delightful hosts. They take great pride in being a Select Registry member and they should. We have stayed in many Bed and Breakfasts and Historic Inns over the years and this is one of the best. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

I was recomended this bed and breakfast when another hotel in Cape Cod I was visiting canceled a night stay due to a hurricane. It was quite a surprise!! The house was beautiful, set in a beautiful location close to the town of Falmouth. The staff was really nice, especially the owners, with whom I spoke to many times on the phone with. My room on the third floor was elegant and beautiful. The owners left us a nice note congratulating us on our 5 year wedding anniversary. They gave us complimentary chocolates and champagne. The room had a beautiful jacuzzi tub, bathrobes, and nice ambiance. The breakfast was delicious, and the complimentary iced tea and cookies all night really was the icing on the cake. It was a short walk into the beautiful town of Falmouth. I only wish I could have stayed longer. A+

In our opinion, The Palmer House Inn sets the top standards for all Bed and Breakfasts in the area. Bill and Pat O'Connell are wonderful hosts and their staff is second to none. The Inn is gorgeous, inside and out; reflecting the owners and staff. A step back in time, the Inn is at least 100 years old if not more, but the up keep shows love and the renovations are truly modern. The service we received was extraordinary. All of you helped us to have a memorable 25th wedding anniversary. From the complimentary bottle of champagne, the chocolates on our pillows each night to the awesome breakfasts and the beautiful walking paths through your lovely gardens. A pure paradise. Our room was beautiful! We were glad we requested a room with a high canopy bed, and it was, the king size bed so high we had to use the little wooden steps to get into it! The mattress was amazing, I had not slept that soundly since I don't know when. The location of the The Palmer House is great; as is the town of Falmouth itself. So much to do in walking distance; shopping, restaurants and a captivating little beach just a 15 minute or so drive away. The local people we met in Falmouth were kind and helpful; directing us to the finest eating establishments and tourist areas. We never felt so welcome on a vacation. We also spent the day in Marthas Vinyard, only a half hour boat ride away, We would deffinately recomend taking a guided tour.
Bill and Pat, you guys nailed it!
Lots of love,

P.S. We also spent the day in Martha's Vinyard, only a half hour boat ride away We would definitely recommend taking a guided tour. Simply beautiful.

We spent 5 days at the Palmer House Inn and found this was an excellent base for our exploration of Cape Cod. We were close to the ferry for Martha's Vineyard and could easily drive to all the other main attractions on the Cape. We had a great breakfast every day served by friendly and efficient staff and the owners, Pat and Bill, were very helpful and provided us with lots of useful information about the Cape which saved us lots of time and effort.

There are some really good restaurants within a few minutes walk, I can particulary recommend the Glass Onion just around the corner, and Falmouth has lots to offer.

If you like good service and a friendly welcome you will love this inn.
