Finally decided to writer a review on this restaurant I have been enjoying for the last couple of years. DO not judge the restaurant by its exterior or old pictures posted on the web. If you do you will missing out on a very satisfying dining experience. It is not a large space but a very comfortable one, quaintly appointed in Thailand themes, soft relaxing music in background. The owner/chef, a native of Thailand, is accommodating, interacts with her customers ensuring all are satisfied. Its a nice gesture much appreciated.
The food is simply delicious, satisfying and thoroughly enjoyable. Can't say i have a favorite item have never been disappointed with any dish. Do enjoy the fresh spring rolls!!! The soups are refreshing light and spicy and surprisingly filling. The dishes are well proportioned with vegetable, meat, spices, herbs some unusual combinations that are surprisingly tasty. This restaurant has become a regular. Am sure you will find it to be as well.
In comparison to the other Thai restaurant in Dartmouth, Sivalai is light years better in all areas, quality and quantity of food, service, and dining atmosphere. Sivalai does serve wine beer and liquor to accompany a meal.
