We decided to take a short visit to see Martha's Vineyard during our family's trip to Cape Cod this year and chose the Clarion after reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor. The hotel lives up to its great reviews. My teen daughter didn't want to leave the room, it was so comfortable (and you know how picky teen girls can be.) Huge room with two queen beds, amazing firm yet cushy comfortable mattresses, great bedding with tons and tons of pillows, nice decor, new and very clean bathroom with curved rod in the tub for roomier showering, large TV with lots of cable stations. The staff, especially Justin, at the front desk helped us out with all our special requests (extra toiletries, called a taxi for us, held our bags all the next day after we checked out while we went to the beach and rode our bikes, offered to lock up our bikes in the basement so they wouldn't get rusty during the rain when we weren't using them). They have a lovely, adequate continental breakfast in the family room right off the lobby free with the room charge and a computer with free internet access in that same room (along with a large TV, comfy couches, board games, etc.). All in all, a very nice little hotel that we will visit again when we are in Martha's Vineyard.

We had had a not-so-stellar experience at a B&B last summer and now want to be extra choosy before staying in one anytime soon. So, my husband found this gem on [--] as a larger-scale option on the very quaint island. It was perfect. Although the Clarion is part of the Choice Hotels chain, this didn't feel like a mass-market hotel, which is so nice and keeps with the feel of the area. The room was huge, and clean, and the front desk staff is pleasant and helpful. The common hotel areas were also well kept and well lit throughout the night. The hotel offers a continental breakfast in the morning, which is adequate. We really were pleased with our one-night stay there. Highly recommend this affordable option.

Very pleasant stay at the Clarion. I would highly recommend this hotel. My husband and I found the rooms nicely appointed, comfortable, and most of all very clean. (By the way, the room decor is much nicer than what the pictures show). It might have been coincidence but I have rarely slept so soundly while traveling as I did here. The location is very convenient. The rooms have small refrigerators which is perfect given that the grocery store is right next door. Even the continental breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and you can’t beat the price. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was exactly what we expected from a AAA triple diamond hotel which is why I am rating it "excellent". . It was very clean, good continental breakfast and very pleasant staff. We were allowed to check in two hours early since our room was ready. Room was set at a comfortable temperature and everyting was what you would expect in a three diamond room. The hotel itself had computer facilities and a cable television in the lounge/breakfast room. It is approximately a ten minute walk from Edgartown center which made it very convenient.

Do not expect harbor/ocean views from this room....we didn't so hotel was as expected. I would recommend the Clarion for anyone who is looking to spend less than $250 for a room in Edgartown.
