If you love gorgeous architecture, impeccable landscaping, friendly service, awesome food and weather, then this place is for you. Our kids loved the camp - it's really well run and age appropriate. There was always something to do. I cannot wait to go back - LOVE the Winnetu!!

That's how I would describe my experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The walls are used with images of island history. The food was exceptional and the amenities were as expected. What stands out the most is how the Winnetu blended into the island. The horticulture was magnificent and the play field ties the facility well to the beach with a 4 minute path of beautiful vegetation until the beach is right in front of you. Edgartown is conveniently next door.

The place was neat and sharp. Concierge of this place was respected and booked tours and events were easily accomodated. I used to work in the hospitality industry within the likes of the Four Seasons and Ritz. I give this facility an A+.

Words don't do it justice. Our time here was like something out of storybook. Every aspect of the resort is exceptional and the service and amenities are so thoughtful. Our kids loved the grounds and our daughter adored the camp. The pool, the turtle pond, the lush grass fields, the pool...ALL of it was simply amazing!

There are all kinds of places you can for a trip. But this was a life memory...

We took our first family trip to Martha's Vineyard this year the first week of June. The Winnetu was excellent. We traveled with a 3 and a 5 year old. they have an awesome kids camp which runs each day from 9-12. I thought I would feel bad putting them in kids camp each day but they were so excited to go everyday and would run to the door telling us to hurry up! This was nice since we could then have a little alone time, we played tennis, walked around Edgartown and one time just went back to bed! I loved the ground floor suite, we could just open the sliders and all the land was the children's backyard (which is so beautiful and there is even a turtle pond out back!). The restaurant on site was also top notch with another children's area - so the adults can sit and eat a meal in peace while the kids watch movies, do crafts, or just play with the toys. It was great. We went in early June though so the restaurant was closed a couple of the days which was a bit of a bummer, since there really wasn't anywhere else to eat on site, but luckily enough we did bring our car and were able to travel around - which I recommend if traveling with little ones. We really enjoyed this resort and it wasn't over the top crowded this time of year, we are definitely going to make it our annual trip! One tip - the resort is very spread out - the kids camp and the other pool are a good distance from the main resort as well as the walk to the beach, we drove to the beach and the activities center a couple times.

Room Tip: I loved the ground level, you open the sliders and the huge beautiful grounds are yours (great for t...

Last year we stayed at the sister property on Nantucket and we were so impressed, we decided to book the Winnetu. We had an amazing time. The staff is wonderful and they make the experience extraordinary. They go out of their way for every guest for every thing, no matter how minor the detail. The food at Lure Grill is amazing. I'd fly back to the island to have dinner there in a heartbeat.

Awesome rooms, minutes from the beach, decent size pool, and great customer service. This place was in the preferct locationa nd offered a free shuttle to and from Edgartown daily. The beach is about a 5 minute walk away. The resort itself looks to be almost new and there is plenty to do there for families or couples

What a treat! The Winnetu Oceanside Resort was wonderful place to stay during our brief visit to Martha's Vineyard. As we arrived with only our bikes, the resort was the perfect distance from the Oak Bluffs ferry terminal.

Our family of 5 stayed in one of the suites with 2 bedrooms, a living room with a Murphy bed, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer and an expansive deck overlooking the grounds out to the ocean. The decor was light and airy and quite conducive to relaxation. Our teenage boys enjoyed the pool and especially the life-sized chess board and pieces in one of the courtyards. The resort grounds were beautifully and meticulously maintained. One of the nights we stayed there we ate at the resort's Lure Grill which was quite good.

The Concierge(s) were friendly and very helpful.

Our only disappointments were that the WiFi was quite poor and that there was no breakfast available except for breakfast sandwiches offered for sale in the little store in the resort. We felt that for the price of the rooms, complimentary continental breakfast should be offered.

For breakfast, we biked to Edgartown (2.5 miles) for provisions and made breakfast in our room.

Also, the ocean beach, although relatively close, is not as close as the photos would lead you to believe.

Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and would certainly return if our plans bring us back to the Vineyard.
