We arrived to a musty room and very damp feeling!!! the Innkeeper very snooty attitude... The main buiding charming the rest of the place a dump!!! No tv no phone never told about that! Wanted money uo front before even seeing the room! I would never stay there again thank God barely went back to room except to try and sleep; which was impossible! Loud at night walls paper thin and the stench; sneezed constantly!

I planned a vacation this year that included about 6 places to visit and wanted to make Marthas Vineyard one of the stops but in order to do that I had to watch my budget and was truly happy to find an affordable room at this establishment. It was clearly explaned to me right up front when making the reservation that I would be sharing the bathroom with an employee. I took the chance and booked the room.
When we got there we were greeted warmly and shown our room. It was a bit dated looking but was nice and very clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom was never an issue or a problem and was well worth it for the reasonable rate for the room.
They also serve breakfast there and have a few inside tables or you can sit under the trees in the courtyard and the gardens. The first morning I was there they had a spoecial of peach pancakes. They were the best pancakes I have ever had anywhere.
It was a great experience and when I get back to the Vineyard I will definately stay at this establishment again.

Have stayed at the Inn several times. Great location, clean & comfy. Charming place with large front porch for relaxing. No frills, but perfect for a getaway.

Old fashioned but quite comfortable and a bargain in season. Very happy with the location, can walk to everything in Edgartown but far enough away from the main drag so it's not noisy. Was on the island for a business-related event, the inn is not set up for business but then again nothing much on the island is! Worked out because the inn is right next to the library, which has free Wifi & printing equipment. Would stay there again.

The Edgartown Inn far exceeded our expectations in every sense. We would definitely stay there again. They have free parking, although, our rental car stayed in the lot most of the time, as shops and restaurants are all very walkable. The Edgartown Inn is a great value, and even though breakfast is not included, you'll find that the Inn's $10 breakfast is well worth it. It's also just a 3 minute walk to the picturesque lighthouse down the very same street. Grab a book from the library right next door, and sit on their lovely porch for a view to the water.

Room Tip: Lite sleepers - The two front rooms are on the noisier side, because they are close the the entrance...

Charming, immaculate, very friendly and helpful staff and wonderful location. Love the history of the inn. Has a great porch to view the comings and goings of Edgartown. Wonderful yet simple accommodations and very fairly priced. Not for those looking for a fancy hotel but who seek the charm of a well maintained 200 year old inn.

I had such a pleasant stay at the Edgartown Inn. I stayed here with my boyfriend and we stayed on the third floor for two nights the weekend before Memorial Day. Sorry, but I can’t remember the name of the room. The room had a private bath with a small deck outside. That was cool and after a day of running around and biking it was nice to just chill out there. The Inn was a great value compared to a lot of the other hotels and resorts that I priced. Plus what I really like it like being at an hotel, but not the cold feel of the hotel. Also the Inn has a beautiful front porch that you’re encouraged to take advantage of. It’s great for sitting back and enjoying a nice bottle of wine at night. The Inn is in the perfect location in downtown Edgartown plus you’re a block from where you can take a small ferry to Chappaquiddick. The Inn also provides a $10 breakfast which was not only good and filling, but also a great value. When you’re having breakfast in the morning it like being transported to another time. There have antique nick knacks throughout the kitchen and nostalgic music playing in the back ground. As someone who works a lot I appreciated actually not having a TV in the room. My only complaint was the bed was hard. I think they need softer beds, but besides that this place was great. I live in MA and I tell everyone that this trip to the vineyard was like being in another state and was very relaxing. It’s nice to unplug every now and then. I will definitely go back to the Inn again.

Room Tip: Third Floor felt very private
