“Great value and a beautiful location for a group.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2010

Our Girl Scout troop (comprised of adults & teenagers) stayed at the Eastham Hostel for three days in August 2010. We found it clean and the staff informative and friendly. Our group was split between two cabins. The cabins are clean and each bunk was provided with clean sheets & blankets. It is a hostel so you are responsible for making you own bed. There were approximately 30 females sharing a two stall bathroom. But there was never a wait. The two outdoor showers were hits. Everything was clean.

Our package included a pancake breakfast every morning which the girls loved. It was ready by 7 AM each day. There is a full kitchen with two refrigerators for guest use. You are responsible for your own food and drinks.
There are lockers (you need your own lock) for your valuables. The only draw back was that some guest did not clean up after themselves. It is a HOSTEL. You are supposed to clean up after yourself. But everyone seemed to just pitch in kind of a home away from home. It is a great way to interact with people from around the world.

This is a fantastic economical way to travel with a group. The location is great and we can’t say enough positive things about Nikki and Patricia (our hosts). If you are planning a trip with your group down to Cape Cod consider this as a place to stay. I will be sending our local Girl Scout Council a positive report on this property.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2009

With short notice, I decided to take my daughter and two of her college pals to the Cape for a long weekend. Trying to find a place to stay at the last minute seemed almost impossible. Donnie, from Mid-Cape Hostel, put me on a wait-list, but called me within an hour to tell me she had a cancellation! I've hosteled in other parts of the world, but never in the USA, and I will tell you....if all the US hostels are like this one, I'm hooked for life! The kids were skeptical when we first pulled up, --- "it looks like Scout Camp" --- but loved the privacy of our own cabin, the outdoor showers, the pancake breakfast, access to a kitchen, and the large areas to hang out, both indoors and out. The place is extremely clean, and Donnie has that place so well organized, it practically runs by itself. She has thought of every little hospitality detail, and knows everything about the area. Her husband is the breakfast cook, and will provide transportation to the bus stop (to Boston) if needed. If you have bikes, bring them...you are only a short ride to the bike trail. We had a wonderful weekend, and staying at this hostel made it even more enjoyable.
