“missing the extras”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

The main dishes were good, but it didn't have either the papaya or mango salads which are usually found at other Thai restaurants. The accompanying salad used a boring & tasteless iceberg lettuce. It felt like the waitress was rushing us out of there. She came with the bill immediately after taking away our plates, without asking if we would like anything else. Very good price.

“excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

i have had thai food from restaurants in the new england (boston backbay, arlington, waltham, manchester, nh), houston and hong kong. in each city at multiple restaurants.

the food quality at this place was amazing. everything fresh. the vegetables in the curry not overcooked and still a bit crunchy but also not raw: one of the best red curry's I have ever had. they also accomodated the wish for added pine apple and tomato with no upcharge. in addition we had the tom ka gai and pad thai which were also really good.

the spice level is moderate at default, so if you really want it spicy make sure you tell them.

the service is a bit slow but making an effort (one waitress for the whole restaurant on a monday night - they probably didn't expect many people but it did fill up and she was struggling a bit)

“Very good, but not really memorable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

I was trying to remember where we went for dinner last weekend, and it took me a while to recall our meal at Royal Thai. There was really nothing special that stuck out in my mind about either the food, the atmosphere, or the service. All five of us enjoyed the food, which came to $65 after tax, before tip. So, very good food, but otherwise unremarkable.

“Good Thai Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Good Thai food, but they don't have sticky rice. It's a good option if you need a change from fried seafood. Quick takeout.

“overcooked”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

This was our favorite Thai restaurant until this visit on May 9 just before noontime. Crab rangoon was totally unedible as were the Thai rolls. Totally over fried. That was followed with 2 orders of chicken pad thai. Totally tasteless. Who ever was cooking during this shift should be fired. We will not be back nor should you.
