“Cheers to Helen...She's the Captain!”

I can't say enough good things about Helen. She is the reason why we go back year after year. She treats you like you are her only guest and our Standard Poodle, Dante loves it there. The rooms near the back of the property are convenient as the bike trail is right behind you. Ride your bike or walk your dog for miles on the trail. We stayed in Orleans in the past at the Governor Prence because they also accept pets but Captains Quarters is much much nicer. Good value for the money and in a great location.

After reading many reviews, we settled on the Captains Quarters Motel for our family's recent overnight stay on Cape Cod. We were not disappointed! They allow pets, so we requested a room that hadn't had pets in it, and we were given a room very close to the main office. It seemed newly painted in bright colors. The room seemed quite clean, I didn't feel overly grossed out about sleeping in the beds or using the bathroom like I have in some motels. As we were leaving, I checked under the chairs and beds to make sure my daughters hadn't lost anything and found someone's trash under a bed. That was a bit disappointing. The bedspreads were the usual tacky ones you see in most hotels. The pillows were a bit flat, but not bad. The TV was nicer than ours at home! It was a nice sized flat screen that got a variety of channels. Not enought kid channels for my 3 and 8 year old though! They wanted Disney or Nick Jr.! It seemed pretty quiet even though it is on Route 6, it is set back from the road a bit and surrounded by trees. The only noises I heard were our 'neighbors' when they came in and my husband's snoring! The free WiFi worked quite well in our room. There was a desk and chair, but a table with chairs definitly would have been more welcome for eating at. The pool was closed for the season, but looked nice. It is a very convenient location near many restaurants, stores and beaches. I believe the bike trail goes right behind it as well. My husband and girls checked out the free breakfast and came back with cereal, muffins(not homemade), juice and coffee. We apologize to the staff for my 3 year old spilling her juice all over the 'dining' room! The woman at the front desk was extremely nice and knowledgable. They didn't even charge for our room until we checked out! Overall, a great, reasonably priced place to stay on the Cape, and we would stay there again!

Room Tip: If you have pet allergies, ask for a room close to the main office. We were told they don't allo...

In recent years we've become accustomed to staying at or near Cape Cod for a few days prior to our annual two week cottage rental in Eastham. Because of our prior off season stay at Captains Quarters in May, we decided to make this our regular hotel on the Cape. We hadn't stayed her in about 6 years, and though it was OK, convenient to our favorite restaurants and attractions, pet friendly, etc., we just never set it apart from the rest.

What we found was there had been many upgrades made to the facility, mainly to the rooms, like new flat screen TV's, refurbished bathrooms, vanity, beds, etc., and found that the manager is someone who cares deeply about the service, housekeeping, clean pool, clean grounds, etc., not to mention a very nice continental breakfast and all day coffee available in the dining area.

The housekeeping staff is outstanding, and they are the same ones each year, and your spotless rooms are testimony to that. They take after their manager, and do a great job.

Room Tip: Not only is the hotel pet friendly, but is close to a great kennel where you can leave your pet for...

My husband and I stayed one night after a wedding and were pleased with this motel. Somewhat dated furniture, but new paint and carpet. Very clean, unexpected due to the age. Pleasant surprise.
Large pool, great location, close to beaches, restaurants, and the national seashore welcome center.
Unfortunately, at the time of our stay, only coffee and plastic wrapped bagels were served for breakfast.

Room Tip: Higher numbered rooms are further away from the office so they may be quieter. Easy walk to breakfas...

The room was clean and basic. No complaints there. The lady at the front desk is extremely helpful and makes you feel at home. The continental breakfast was a plus. Its basic like a continental breakfast is supposed to be.

We can't say enough about Helen. What a sweet, friendly manager! Bright smiling greeting when we checked in and a fond farewell when we left. She makes it a point to tell you to let her know if you need anything or if something isn't to your liking. Hotel is CLEAN. They are renovating bit by bit and everything, while not fancy , is certainly adequate. Room was also quiet even with it being a pet friendly hotel and there were dogs visiting including mine. Breakfast again is not fancy but enough to get you started if you don't want to go for anything heavy. We will definitely be back again next year!

Room Tip: Let them know in advance if you are bringing your pet.
