“Cape Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2014

We are regulars to the Cape during the summer. We usually stay in Hyannis, but this year we wanted to stay someplace closer to the beaches at the National Seashore, since that's where we usually go. We found Cove Bluffs Inn on-line. The location is convenient to many of the beaches. The grounds are welcoming with colorful hanging hammocks. There is a pool. Our room was on the second floor, accessible only by winding, steep stairs. A nice postcard on the bed from the staff welcomed up. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable. There was a flat screen TV. The downsides: the water pressure was non-existent even for Cape standards and it took a long time for the water to heat up. The bathroom was large, but there was no place to put toiletries...perhaps putting shelving on one of the wall would help. The biggest downside during our stay was the bathroom plumbing. Other folks flushes backing up into our bathroom. Overflowing toilet. Huge, huge downside to our stay. There was also a disruptive guests during our stay. Leslie was great, but I'm not sure we would stay there again.

Room Tip: Even tho it's close to Route 6, it was very quiet. If you stay in the upstairs room, be aware t...

Our suite was very spacious, comfortable, squeaky clean, and homey. With a luxurious king size bed, lovely recently remodeled bathroom, and a perfect sized kitchenette, the room itself was perfect, but the location itself was even better--right in the middle of any of the attractions on the Cape, but set back enough to feel completely secluded from the real world. Homemade cookies every afternoon was a special, extra touch. We can't wait to stay here again!

Very last minute we booked a weekend here with our dog. Having never spent any time on the Cape we really were flying blind. Happily we couldn't have chosen any better for our needs. One very large but cozy room with King bed, modern bathroom, vaulted ceilings, workable kitchen, flatscreen tv and table for two. My husband said it was the best bed he had ever slept in on any of our trips. Even though the kitchen was tiny we managed to cook 2 2lb lobsters in the pot provided and having coffee on site was a plus. Our dog was treated as an accepted guest and she appreciated the treats left for her. We were close enough to beaches (15 min) and Provincetown (25 min) and there are restaurants close by to bring food back from. The room was spotless, the employees wonderful and the little touches stood out. Really enjoyable on every level. Would return in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Room 3 is a dog friendly king suite that provided ample space for the two of us and our 30lb dog.

This was a perfect spot for exploring Cape Cod with several things we enjoyed the most close by - eg Cape Code rail trail, Provincetown, sunset on First Encounter beach and Fort Hill trail. It is not a trendy inn, but very clean and comfortable with all modern facilities e.g. wifi. There were lovely welcoming touches e.g.hand written note, radio softly playing and homebaked biscuits and coffee available - all signs of a business going the extra mile. The kitchen and coffee machine were great for self catering although definately only room for one chef, however I was more than happy to watch while my husband rustled something up. A great stay.

The new owners have been busy remodeling and updating the inn. I can't wait to see what happens during the off season. We loved the setting. it has the feel of Cape Cod of my youth with updated amenities (wifi, great towels TV). The staff was very friendly and gave us good recommendations for restaurants etc.
September is a special month on the Cape. We will be back !

Perfect spot. Location is close to many of the Cape's finest spots. Excellent service from the time I called to book reservation, until the time we left inn. Very concerned, courteous staff. We loved the information booklet given with inn and area information. It was most helpful for restaurant choices. So nice to have a quaint lodge in a beautiful setting. Queen beds were great!

The inn is just as the other reviews describe it--very quaint, well kept, maintained, clean and comfy. It's quite obvious from the start that the owner/mgmt care a great deall about their guests which shows in the welcoming environment. Leslie, who I spoke to several times by phone, was super. She showed us to our room when we arrived late afternoon. We stayed in the smaller guest rooms upstairs. It was a cool setup, in that there were only 2 units at the top of the cool/funky spiral stairs, with facing doors on the landing. I expected a big row of doors like a motel, but this was a better setup. The radio was quietly on playing soft classical music, all was neat and Leslie even left a hand written card welcoming us to their inn. I want to make sure anyone reading this has their expectations properly set--this is not a cutesy, potpourri laden B&B. It's a rustic place, where the owners are proud of what they offer at a fair price.

Our only regret was that we missed the afternoon homemade cookies in the gazebo or get a chance to hang out on one of the many hammocks since we got back too late !

Room Tip: We only needed a place to sleep, so the small rooms were fine. The larger suites looked great, on g...
