We like to travel with our dog when possible and booked a stay at the Painted Dog in Eastham. Our host, Dana, was most welcoming, gracious and helpful and the rooms were perfect for our situation. There is a small kitchen area which is perfect for preparing meals, should you choose to eat in. There is also a dog run on site which is very nice.
The only drawback for us is that the property is right on Rte 6 so there's a lot of traffic noise day in and day out and the Cape is very crowded in the summer. We like to sit outside and have breakfast or read, but found it impossible to do so because of the overwhelming traffic noise which does not exactly promote relaxation and peace, so if you don't mind that - I would highly recommend the Painted Dog.
