We have been staying at The Painted Dog the last several years and we absolutely love it! It has all the comforts of home you could ask for and more. It's a cute apartment on the upper floor of an old farmhouse with Cape Cod personality. There are two bedrooms, one being a child's room and a nice sized fully applianced kitchen/living room. Also there is cable, wifi connection, all linens and there is a doggie path and potty bags with a disposal can set up. Dana, owner, is fabulous and I find very pleasant to talk with and loves animals. She thinks of thoughtful things to like arranging fresh cut wild flowers or leaving us a couple pictures of our dogs on the table from our stay the previous year. The apartment is in a nice location with several area beaches, food markets and the main Cape highway nearby. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else with our dogs and I can promise that anyone who chooses to rent will NOT be disappointed in any way.

My family of four has stayed in this pet-friendly place four times since August of 2007. We return each year because of the great amenities and location. The apartment has two bedrooms, bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, and small living room. I like it because everything you need is there including all kitchen appliances and equipment, sweeper, cable, even some board games. Linens are provided and beds are already made when you get there unlike some beach houses where we have stayed. The owner is very helpful with suggestions on things to do and loves dogs, so all kinds are welcome. We love the fact that we can take our yellow lab with us and he loves it as much as we do. The bay beach is about a 10 minute drive and other ocean beaches are even a little closer. Great place to stay, wouldn't consider any other place now that we have found it.
