“AAA friendly family run motel with comfortable rooms, picturesque landscaping with duck pond and swimming pool.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

We always come back here. The family has been running the motel for over 20 years. Each room is well laid out. Some have a sitting porch next to the duck pond. Continental breakfast. Clean, comfortable and moderately priced. Recommend

Absolutely LOVE staying here! Great location on scenic 6A, & boy is this scenic. Between the flowers blooming & the pond in the back I don't know what more you could look for! Totally relaxing! The breakfast nook is small, so you need to take you continental munchies back to your room, but if the morning is clear, just sit outside & relax, drink in the view of Cape Cod nature at its finest. As for the breakfast: a little protein, a little fruit, a little sweet bread, and a good cup of joe-what more do you need before going out to investigate the cape. Brian & Nancy are VERY accomodating, so this makes for a great stopover in your travels! Gently aged rooms with comfy beds & some really nice furniture make this a pleasure both inside & out. Will most definitely be back!

We had a great time, and it was relaxing to come back to the motel, and sit out side in one of swings. The flowers were beautiful and well kept. We locked our storm door accidently and the owner was very kind about opening it for us. Sissy and I, were very comfortable in our room. It seemed to be very centrally located.

Room Tip: No bad locations

We just recently stayed at the "Earl" (early May for 9 nights) and, as always, it was great. We have stayed here, probably, 9 or 10 times in the last 5 or so years. Its always quiet and peaceful, and Brian & Nancy (the owners) are always friendly and accomadating. This is the type of place that has made Cape Cod one of the foremost tourist destinations in coastal New England. Clean and tidy in a lovely setting on Route 6A.

If you want a Jacuzzi tub in the room and an elevator to your floor you can stay in the Hyannis area, and for $140+ a night you will be located on one of the busiest, noisiest roads on the Cape!

No thanks (!!!) we will be back here at the "Earl" in September (hopefully) for another 7+ night stay!

Room Tip: All the rooms are really nice!!

We were so pleasantly pleased when we pulled up in front of the Earl of Sandwich Motel on a cool afternoon in late spring. The foliage all along the front of the property was blooming in bright reds and pinks everywhere we looked. The innkeeper greeted us warmly, and gave us great recommendations for places to visit in the area, including restaurants and historic sites all along 6A. Our rooms (all three of them) were charming - from the gleaming hardwood floors up to the top of the canopy bed they were quietly elegant. The old fashioned beds were high, so be sure to ask for a step stool if you need one! The courtyard behind the property was relaxing, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the ducks that reside in the large pond out back. Breakfast included fresh brewed coffee, delicious muffins (the chocolate ones were incredible!) and fresh fruit. All in all, I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

We found the Earl of Sandwich to be just the perfect place to "come home to" after a hectic day of sightseeing around the Cape. The grounds are so pretty and well kept and everybody was very friendly. It seemed to be a very safe place for ladies (sisters) traveling alone. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.

Room Tip: We were close to the continental breakfast room and it was very convenient.

I found the Earl of Sandwich by accident and am certainly glad I did. The guy who checked me in dropped everything and showed me a several rooms to make sure I would be comfortable in it. That is unheard of in my experience. The room and facilities were super clean and very comfortable. I was just a couple doors down from where they serve a little continental breakfast in the morning. Thank goodness for that cup of Joe first thing. The owner and the staff went out of their way to make certain I had everything I needed. Super people. If there's "room at the Inn", I hope to stay here again on my next visit to the Cape.
