“perfect for us”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

In a part of the world free of Walmart-People there is still need for modest prices, which Sesuit Harbor House has. Mix of guests from old to young, even one quiet gay couple! Peaceful, nice grounds, proprietors available & eager to help but not invasive, staff pleasant, modest Americanized Continental breakfast, sunny pool, neat clean small rooms with sufficient storage. Near great typical mid-Cape bay beaches (best on bike since parking is limited and SHH is near a great bike trail with food/drink stops - wear a swim suit - but the main roads are biker UNFRIENDLY) and a couple of acceptable eateries near-by. Apparently foodies are not catered to in this area so I was glad to have taken my own coffee and filters. Would return in a heart-beat.

Room Tip: We stayed in the annex, old motel style across from the pool, and were very satisfied

First of all, this is by far the best side of the Cape to stay on, unless you stay in Chatham. The south side is far more commercialised and built up and the roads are busier. The northern edge has beautiful scenery, not much traffic and stunning (and empty while we were there) beaches. The Sesuit Harbour House motel is a very nice place to stay. The owners, Jim and Kim, are warm and welcoming, the room was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom and they were very helpful with where to go and what to see. There was plenty of hanging and storage space and we had lots of room to put everything away. The grounds are kept immaculately tidy and there are tables and chairs dotted around, and by the swimming pool, for sitting outside. Breakfast was not served whilst we were there, but the cafe straight across the road (Grumpy's) more than made up for that. If I did have one criticism, it would be that the nets and curtains were very fine and so on bright mornings, we were awake very early! Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We attended a family reunion in East Dennis and this was not only the perfect location, but it was also the perfect place! The staff was friendly and helpful, the property was gorgeous with flowers, trees, and a lovely lawn. The pool was clean and perfect for our girls ages 5 and 6 to swim. Our deluxe room was much larger than expected. The mini-fridge was perfect for snacks and drinks. Breakfast was served in a sunny room with seating indoors and outdoors. Only drawback was the sheer curtains but we were so tired after long days at the beach and the time change that it didn't bother us too bad at night. We will definitely return to this property the next time we visit the Cape!

We attended a wedding at the Cape and stayed at this inn 2 nights and would definitely stay here again. Our room was in one of the buildings in the back of the property. It was very quiet and peaceful despite the fact that the inn is located on route 6A which is a very busy road.

The owners were very accommodating and had our rooms ready for us earlier than the 2:00 check-in time, so we could settle in and get ready to attend a 2:00 pm wedding.

The continental breakfast was more than adequate and we were able to enjoy our breakfast at one of the tables set up outside. Our overall stay was very pleasant!

Room Tip: Rooms in the buildings in the back of the main building are probably quieter.

My husband and I stayed here for a wedding recently and the staff were super friendly and nice. Very clean and comfortable. Great location to the beaches and they even provide bike rental free of charge. One suggestion is to check the gears on the bikes prior to taking them for a spin. We are already planning our vacation there next summer.

This place is overpriced for what it is , especially off season. Felt like I was sleeping in a fish bowl. Full sized windows flanked the entire back wall and 3 windows in front of the room. So much light that you wake at the crack of dawn - sheer curtains and drapes. Also felt exposed since the back wall of windows faced another building with parking in front. Bathrooms are dated. Breakfast nothing to speak of. Furnishings dated. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Pool looks nice.

My wife and myself were members of a family party of 13 attending a funeral service in Boston, with dinner to follow in the Red Pheasant, Dennis, the same evening. On arrival at the Sesuit Harbour House the feeling from the owners could not have been more appropriate and welcoming. Kim and Jim and their staff understood that we were grieving our loss, and tired from the drive. The rooms are "Cape Cod" perfect. The price point very reasonable and the breakfast very generous. The small touches of hand written notes in the room and the welcome sign were very well received. We had a wonderful picnic/lunch by the pool catching up the next day before we all parted ways. We stayed one more day to relax in the peace of Dennis and the Cape. Kim and Jim are tremendous hosts. Understanding people who have travelled and know what to offer and when to draw back. Thats the secret and they have mastered it. The harbour house is a small complex of chalets with a pool central in the back. Picnic tables are offered to relax the day away and the wonderful corporation beach is a few clicks away. The Red Pheasant is a mile or so and there is a store and a bank on their nearest corner. Our party mentioned more than once how it would be a wonderful venue to be married at. Although i imagine Kim and Jim won't thank me for that comment! It prides itself on handling larger parties but also catering for smaller intimate numbers with many regulars i am sure. All in all, they know how to look after you. And thats what you will feel when you come away. Looked after. We love to travel. We also understand that travel is not a passport to be arrogant or demanding. You are treated how you treat others. A simple notion. This hotel will go the extra mile. That little bit extra is always noticed and is why they will be seeing us and the people we will return with in the future.

Thanks to Kim, Jim, staff & Pauly D & Snooki ( two beautiful cats) for a simply great stay in a great house.
